I just need to ask, if you are so upset by the past "injustices" against the "muslims" why don't you fly over, sign up and fight with them. Show solidarity for them instead of wasting key strokes on a forum?

Do you know the history of that region and what we and Europe have done to them? If you don't see injustice, you're not understanding what's gone on.

And your remark was unsubstantial sarcasm, not debate. If you're interested in the topic, please say something meaningful.

I doubt you run out and join every cause in whose favor you write about in here, so that comment was just silly.

Mia, I personally hd nothing to do with that, my family as far back as my great grandparents had nothing to do with that.

If you go back further, that's called being stuck in the past. Which is a bigger source of turmoil in the Middle East then ANYTHIGN America has ever done there, good or bad. 3,000 American's died in part, because of events that happened 500 years ago. There's a problem, and it's not our fault.

Einstein's "Theory of Relativity" is still being challenged to this day, but by consensus Global Warming is a fact... that's REAL science at work, why didn't Albert just go that route?

Our past wrongs against Muslims is not that far back.

It will be interesting to see what happens when Israel returns some of the Palestinian land to the Palestinians. Does everyone know what Palestine looks like? It is all broken up, not one piece of ground. Between the Palestinian towns is Israel controlling the movement of Palestinians, with road blocks where the Palestinains are stopped and harrassed, and humiliated by bored road block guards. Like was done to native Americans, Palestinians have been pushed into the worst lands. In some areas they have so little water, the people suffer urinary problems like kidney stones.

Of serious concern is the protection of the Mosque in Jersalem, as there is a conflict with Jewish interest in rebuilding their temple. This is not in the past at all, but is of immediate concern.

Personally, I think Britian was very wrong to promise all Arab land to Arabs, if they fought off the Turks, and then break the promise. I think they were wrong to bring in the Jews in the first place to protect the Suez cannel. Abrab Muslims and Jews had lived peacefully together for hundreds of years. They did not have the problem Christians and Jews had with each other. The British brought in European Jews and started the trouble which began as a cultural problem, not a religous problem. That was the beginning of Zionism and the Arabs feared what did happen would happen. They didn't want European Jews taking the land and putting it under their control. But to fund the war against the Turks, the British promised Rothchild the land for Israel. I don't think Arab land was Britians to do with as it pleased, but there was no one to stop Britian from doing as it pleased.

The US has backed Israel at the expense of the Palestinians all these years. Only Eisenhower refused to give Israel its annual money, if it didn't pull back its forces. If we all understood the power of Jews in controlling our elections and decisions, I think more people would say this is wrong, but we can not talk about it for fear of being called anti semitic, all though this has nothing to do with being against Jews because they were born Jew or because of their religion. It is the politics that matters and the rights of Palistinians and now a big international mess, involving torrorism and a threat to our liberty as our governments take freedoms in the name of protecting of us. This is not old history, but one long on going conflict for land and water and survival and human dignity.

We really need to talk morals and usury. How well do we understand the moral conflict between capitalist Christians and Moslims? We need to consider what we did to native American tribes, the taking of land, disruption of their domestic economy and way of life.
Between what Christians have done to native Americans and Muslims, and the Christian effort to replace science with religious myth, there is growing opposition to Christianity. This isn't the past, it is today.

I speak controversy so we have something to talk about. Don't take me too seriously.

Saying that the govt did something "wrong" is one thing. Preaching about the "horrors" they have supposedly committed is another. No one labeled anyone un-patriotic, except you, trying to put words in my mouth. I asked a simple question to Athena, without using any labels. Maybe she could answer.
Do you feal that your own country could never commit such a horror? I hate to break it to you, but your country has commited a fair few horrors in its time. Why not call them what they are, from the Philippines to Vietnam and World War 2?

I know that my country has in the past has commited a fair few attrocities, as a matter of historical accuracy it is my duty to label them as what they are, why can you not do the same?

Society may be formed so as to exist without crime, without poverty, […] no obstacle whatsoever intervenes at this moment except ignorance to prevent such a state of society.

I have no way of knowing if this is directed to Hermes... This site is incomprehensible to me as far as navigation is concerned. I'll give you a shot anyhow, as my neices have the same OMG thing going though they have no conception of a God; their parents paid hard earned money to ensure such.

In any case, I am designed to live on this planet, I did not just land here and everything that manifests through mine and mine others hand is wholly naturl to the order of the planet. Same as your hand, though you may want to disbelieve it for your own mental necessity.

It is those out there who believe mankind to be an alien species disrupting some undefined natural order who are on the outside looking in; most need help from mental health professionals but are uninsured and therefore out there for the normal people to deal with. I have the time, please send the beer.

Unutterably wary and tiresome you leftists are.... It must suck like a tornado to be one today. Grow up, or become a victim... We eat you like popcorn without even thinking about it. We are not right wingers or even fascists, we are Aericans just like you; we just don't get a hardon about things that are fact, and we desire not the destruction of western culture.

Who cares any way, nhilism being the epitome of some mutated "education" in philosophy... Read a real book, grow up, go with the flow or wash up down stream and let the rational people deal with what is left (as per the usual). some need to come to understand that the world is a brutally cold and unyielding realm that is only dealt with through cold unyiealding strendgth,

It has always been such, and always will be such.

    Sorry.

    >> ...any conclusion about the nature of truth that relies solely on observation and experimentation cannot be a valid statement

Just out of curiosity, did you make this up or is it attributable to anyone...? I just wasted more time than warranted searching for a source... Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

My comment was directed towards IBM. Are you his proxy or is there another reason you're bringing it up 1.5+ months after I wrote it?

I guess you can read my mind and know everything there is to know about me. Thanks for answering for me.
