How much about Wicca do you know to justifiably call it followers of Satan? Please tell me why you think this. I'm very curious.
Quite a bit - I read several books when I thought I was inerested in it, and had a close friend who was Wiccen.

There is no such thing as a white witch or being able to do all the things Wicca promises without drawing on the powers of Satan, so I'll do without those, thank you!

Never mind, everyone. It will be called the "Theologists" with all the other information in the subtitle. By the way, Mia, even if Wiccans follow Satan, they at least follow some religion. We should at least grant them tolerance even if they followed him; however, I do not think that Wiccans do. Ultimately, they are like all of us, following an "alternate reality, "magic," "superstition," and "the supernatural" with our "beady little brains." (That sentence is pointed sarcasm at those who criticize religious thought.)

Mia, you are simply judging Wiccans based on your own beliefs. Besides, when you join the group, you can choose not to interact with them anyway; there may be others who can join you in discussions.

I can see how you think Wiccans follow Satan if you think anyone who doesn't follow your God also follows Satan, but the Wiccan's themselves do not worship or support the Christian "Satan". They worship the God and Goddess, each have different qualities. They are the products of Spirit, which is a creative force that runs through the universe. Some Wiccans give names to the God and Goddess, or have a variant on what I have said; like any religion it has it's denominations.

Hey, do not sweat it, G. Adams. We can discuss Wiccans and other religious people in the private group as long as Mia and others join.

    It's not up yet.

I hope everyone is at least open to all religious discussions. Even personal variants of religion, would be an enjoyable discussion.

I'm not sure what I believe. I know I'm not traditional by any means, but any dicussion about what God is always has been something of interest to me. But I have expressed a liking for Starboy in the past, still do, so I may be banned from this group. Oh well. God is a fascinating subject....I think humans are genetically programmed to believe in something, whatever that something is. Life is hard enough as it is....gotta have something to look forward too. I'm lost in space, I know. Please forgive.

Be gentle on yourself. Please consider why it seems humans are programed to believe in something (God?). I believe you have hit on an important discovery.

Thank you, Pete. I have this book Brain Science and the The Biology of Belief "Why God wont Go away".....it asks the question "Did God create the brain or Did the brain create God?" I havent read this book yet. I've thumbed thru it, it's in my ever growing stack of books that I am making my way thru, so I'll get to it soon. Looks good.

"The religious impulse is rooted in the biology of the brain." Now that's cool.
