So Obama lied, that was simple and not a suprise.
You seem to define lying differently than I do. When was the mandate and the tax/penalty ever not public knowledge?

All I see when I look down, something jumpin' on the ground, Scratchin' dirt, cluckin' in the barnyard -
Tell me, could that be you?

What does "as a whole mean"?
"As a whole," as in "all Americans." You said "Your taxes are going up!" No. They. Are. Not. The "tax" is targeted to a certain group of Americans whose non-insured status hurts America "as a whole."

I also couldn't give a fuck what Romney did as a Govenor any more then our 1 year senator wannebe president.
I'll remember these words as the election gets closer. In the meantime, I'm delighted that the standard bearer of the "Repeal Obamacare" Party also saw the wisdom of fining non-insured people. His words, I have no doubt, will be repeated often when Romney the Anti-Tax Crusader replaces Romney Christian Savior on the campaign trail.

You made the claim that "Your taxes will go up," not me. The ball is in your court. Prove that all American's taxes will go up from Obamacare, or retract your claim.

Has any heard physician requirements under the ACA since it was passed? How are the docs taking to the act?

    • Physicians will assume greater responsibility for the health of populations, not individuals
    • Significant numbers of physicians may feel compelled to relinquish private practice autonomy in favor of networks or group formations
    • Physicians will increasingly lose the “private” in private practice
    • Physicians could become a link for risk-bearing arrangements, thereby assuming significant shared financial risks and quasi-insurance roles

It's the same old politician promise.... We're gonna dump 32-40 million uninsurable and high-risk patients on the existing structure and we'll get better care and it will be cheaper too.

    How gullible can you be??

I upped my income, up yours.

You know I just might come out ahead in this if the relatives whose health bills I been paying for myself can get you to chip in some bucks too. Don't think I don't appreciate it.

He requires people to purchase insurance with out fixing the problems that drive up the cost. All this will do is allow health insurance to charge a higher price. Because of the limited health care options in most areas, few people will have any choice. For instance, if there is only 1 hospital in your town, as is the case in most towns in America, you can't really shop around can you?

Socialize it completely or don't socialize it. All this current program does is tax people who shouldn't be taxed. It's not like the modicum increase in tax offsets the cost of health insurance.

The policy also forces companies to provide private health insurance and the insurance must meet certain quality minimums. So once again, insurance companies make out. The penalty for not providing insurance for your full time employees will work out to $36,500 a year. As long as the insurance charges less than that, it will be cheaper for them to pay the over priced insurance fees.

The program also ignores about half of the currently uninsured in America.

To accomplish this inefficiency, our government will be paying an additional 500,000,000,000 over the next decade.

You don't have to pay a penalty unless the insurance costs are less than 8% of your annual income. IE, you need to have about twice the average household income before you actually need to purchase the insurance. This means that 2/3 of the people who are currently uninsured will not actually be obligated to do anything different than they are now.

IE, this plan is just plain stupid. It fixes NOTHING except pumping more money in to the insurance companies.

Case in point. When called upon to support the people who have poor health in our society these responses that compare it to 9/11--an event in which 3,000 people fucking died--makes me think that, maybe, the people saying these things might just be tad bit selfish. Instead of paying for those poor people gladly, and thinking "there but for the grace of God go I," you start squealing about how your freedoms are being impinged and how Obama is the next Hitler.

    It's completely fucking ridiculous.
Dude, I have lived with the poor, I have been homeless, I have lived with drug addicts, alcoholics, criminals. I have lived on minimum wage, and had health insurance. Sure, you have to make a choice, is texting, smoking, or alcohol more important than health care...which should I spend my money on? Most of the people who don't have health care could afford it, but make bad choices. If you really want to fix healthcare cost, crack down on those who accept the services, and skip out on paying the bill.

You and no one else is entitled to MY MONEY!! Weather I am rich or poor, you are NOT entitled to MY MONEY!! Anyone who thinks otherwise is a THIEF!! No matter how you justify it, no matter what the sob story is, THEFT is THEFT!! Call me a greedy bastard down here in lower class, go ahead, see if I care.

You Communists and Socialists never seem to get it through you head that the difference between right and wrong, just and unjust, has nothing to do with emotions. But this surprises me not as you seem to base most if not all judgements on emotional connections.

    "Look at the poor,"

    idiot, RIGHT HERE!!

"look, at those with poor health,"

you mean my friends...ok, their problems are the result of years of self abuse, and you think I should feel sorry for them? Hell they don't even feel sorry for themselves! They regret it a little though...

"if you don't feel for these people, and agree we should use the law to rob the industriouse Americans to support bums and idiots, then you are a greedy monster who is illogical."

    Oh boo freakin WHO!!!

When I read this i feel as if i passed by a homeless guy screaming it on a street corner. What's the protocol now? Ah yes *tries not to make eye contact*
Ah yes, lets speak for the homeless, but hide from them, ignore them, and make jokes about them...very mature.
