Is this how you see it? As some kind of conspiracy against the US? How about the nations involved in reducing their greenhouse gas emissions? Do you think polluting indefinitely is viable?Quote by: Lou Minotti

I keep reminding myself not to exhale, but I keep doing it anyway. Sorry guys.
When did carbon dioxide become pollution?
Merlin's take.... Exhale but don't fart! the hydrogen sulfide is serious shit...pardon the pun?...I keep reminding myself not to exhale, but I keep doing it anyway. Sorry guys.

Its (CO2) a horrible green house gas that traps heat like the glass of a greenhouse, trouble is one mega eruption can release (and does so on a regularly) more green house gasses dust and climate and weather enhancing particulate than an average size industrialized nation does in many decades, then you go bankrupt buying new skivies.

So you're claiming that our current carbon dioxide level, highest it has been for 400k years, is due to only volcanic activity?Quote by: MerlinsByte

Ofcourse Europe and Japan have such a small industry, we would only do such a thing to hurt the US. We would never begin if the US or China wo.... ow wait.. we did begin.. how silly of me. Have you ever considered thinking globally and just about this problem objectively without nationalism clouding your thinking?Quote by: Lou Minotti

Sure. It's a classic thing in declining empires: all symptoms must be the result of a Conspiracy. It helps to keep reality out -- for a while.Quote by: Lou Minotti
HA! That's normally how UN bureaucrats respond to this stuff!!!! Almost verbatim. Yes, let's deindustrialize the U.S. because Europe thinks its a good idea even though it may or may not be based on junk science.

America is a TOOL of empire. America is far from being the empire. And yes, I think the idea of man-made global warming is a hoax consciously perpetrated by UN cronies. It isn't too difficult to derive that conclusion. All you have to do is take them at their words.

I suppose I'd attribute it to the current paleo-geological scientific explanation. And kindly note that, at least as represented on your graph, even the most radical drop spanned 10 million years.Quote by: PaleRIder
But most importantly, RIder, we are NOT in the absence of global industrialization, so don't forget to put a perfectly vertical line at the end of your graph. A really thin one to boot, because even the thickness of those lines spans 100 times more time than it will take to raise temperatures back to Cretaceous themperatures at the current rate.
What facts are those, Lou? All the world's volcanoes together pump out around 250 million tons of Sulfur Oxides in a year, which isn't even a greenhouse gas. Humans emit close to 100 million tons of sulfur Oxides in a year -- on TOP of what volcanoes emit -- but more significantly, we emit about 30 BILLION tons of C0² a year.Quote by: Lou Minotti
I sugget you look at it yourself, and quit telling SeanG to lie to his kid.
Why are you people so obsessed with the UN. Try The National Institute of Science, The American Meteorological Society, The American Geophysical Union, The National Weather Association, The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, The National Center of Atmospheric Research, The Center for Global Change and Arctic System Research, The Woodshole Oceanographic Research Center, The Scripps Institute of Oceanography, The EPA and NASA. They all now basically support the thesis of anthropogenic global warming.Quote by: Lou Minotti
Try to follow along with the debate, okay Mr.Perfecto? It doesn't pollute, but excessive amounts do raise the global temperature, hence, global warming.Quote by: Mr.Perfecto
Your gleeful ignorance is breathtaking, Merlin. Not only is this wrong, it's light years in the opposite direction wrong. See my second paragraph above.Quote by: MerlinsByte
I'll be happy to post a number of links if you have any doubts.
I don't suffer from insanity... I thoroughly enjoy it
My only obsession is to see it dismantled. Why are you people so obsessed with the UN.
These people are the ones with the obsession.Try The National Institute of Science, The American Meteorological Society, The American Geophysical Union, The National Weather Association, The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, The National Center of Atmospheric Research, The Center for Global Change and Arctic System Research, The Woodshole Oceanographic Research Center, The Scripps Institute of Oceanography, The EPA and NASA.

Perhaps because it's their job to actually KNOW something about what's going on?These people are the ones with the obsession.

Do you actually have something productive to add to this argument or are you just here to sprout conspiracy theories?Quote by: Lou Minotti
