If anyone actually sues a church for not wanting to marry them, they're idiots who should be laughed out of the courtroom. 1) Churches are entirely unnecessary - one can get married without ever setting foot in a church, and 2) even if one wants a church wedding, why go to a church that doesn't want you? There are plenty of different churches in the country. Anyone who bothers to look can probably find one willing to participate.

Your story of that conversation sounds like one of Michelle Bachmann's undocumented fantasies.
It was a response to me from someone on Youtube, so undocumented? No. Near impossible to find? Yes. Granted, Youtube's hardly a credible source for a true point of view, but someone did say it, so I have to assume he was gay. There is such a thing as clueless homosexuals in the world. They all can't be super advanced life forms, right?

If it was"a response ....from someone on Youtube" why didn't you link to it? And as you admit that the individual, if indeed he or she does exist, was clueless, then their comments are of no consequence. Not unlike your posting of them.

YouTube has been pretty much drowned in trolls. It's probably not a good idea to assume someone else's position especially when they say something absolutely ludicrous.

I agree. Unfortunately not everyone does. Activists are now saying that civil union is not enough and pushing for for marriage. Preaching against homosexual relations is now considered "hate speech".

Excellent point, RickSp. I am wrong, and you are right.

Who can argue with this logic? Well played, Dkdj12!

That's why we should legalize all forms of marriage. It's really about fairness, isn't it?

I'm with you guys. It's the science behind homosexuality that makes gay marriage just "feel" right.

What the hell is going on...

You think... you... you think you can just AGREE with people? And that's that!? WHAT KIND OF GAME ARE YOU PLAYING?!

'Pushing for marriage' is not the same thing as wanting to force churches to do the marrying. Like I said - the state already marries people without any church involvement. And I'll go one further and say the state's definition of marriage should not be in any way dependant on any religion.

I didn't link it because it's been 3 or 4 years since I saw that particular video. Also, it will take too long to find it, if it hasn't been removed already.

So tell me, RickSp: are you trying to say that not one homosexual is capable of saying such things? I read the comments of at least one gay person who said that. Perhaps we should scan Youtube and see what some of today's homosexuals are saying. What do you think?
