I'm sure he's saying that conservatives aren't cowards since they make up the majority of the military, but on the side note. Doesn't this sound more like bravery rather then courage? I get confused between the two words.
Yes, the fact that more Conservatives represent our military makeup most surely says that they are more brave than courageous. I too have a problem with using that word courage to describe many people. In a way, its about the same as using the word hero, though I'm strating to get that uneasy feeling that many on this forum consider me to be their political hero. I hope that isn't the case for their sake.

How come nuclear scientist brains sell for $15.00 a pound but Democrat brains sell for $30,000.00 a pound? That's because it takes so many Democrats to get a whole pound.

As to weather or not the findings are correct, I suggest you consider it is those cowardly right wingers that make up a majority of the service. Clearly the assosiation with that part of the brain is not fully understood.
Cowardly right wingers are fighting in the sand box and brave left wingers are hiding underneath their desks. Courage is not understood by those on the left because they never experience it.

In usage: It takes a brave man to be couragous. Or men who exhibit courage are called brave men. Or, it takes a lot of courage to be brave.

Being in the military doesn't exactly make you 'courageous' or 'brave'. I've heard some horrible stories from veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, about encounters with their commanders. Ethan Mccord, who witnessed the 'collateral murder' incident, was told to "get the sand out of his vagina" because he was suffering from horrible depression after the killings. If you call that 'courage' or 'bravery', then you have a sick way of thinking.

Also keep in mind that a lot of the young people recruited my the military come from poor areas. Recruiters pick up these kids because they know they're desperate to have health care and get into college.

WHAT?! Most of these kids are spoiled mamas boys that havent experienced anything and join the military because they think it is "cool" It is rare they join because they are desperate....

Where the heck did you get that from? The wealthy kids aren't typically the ones who go into the military.

It's true. You cannot even join the military unless you have a highschool diploma, they dont even accept GED's anymore. Its a well known fact that teens who live in impoverished families have a much lower graduation rate. Most of the soldiers I know do not come from poverty at all, and most did not join because they were desperate either.

I would also like to add it is not the "wealthy either" it is the middle and upper middle class.

lol...you might wanna try proving that one...lol

{QUOTE=Deadeye]I suggest that you might be an independent. I might have been when I was a college kid. I'm kind of damaged goods. I've been burned everywhere but Sunday by liberals and liberalism. I fought in the VN War which hardened me - right. I think the differences between the two major factors are pretty simple. It's big government vs. small and individual rights vs. government control. That's about it in a nutshell. Those concepts can be expanded to fit most situations..least I think so. [/QUOTE] Well that explains allot! Damaged Goods. Burned by the Liberals. Vietnam Grunt.

Wow...a first year psych student could pigeon-hole this.

Who the hell knows if this study is accurate or not.
I can say this with all honesty though...

Its not the more liberal leaning persons in here that tend to attack blindly without any FACTS!

    Consider the FACTS

In order to enlist you MUST obtain a high school diploma, or you need a GED with 15 credit hours of college. This is quite a feat for teens in impoverished homes. More than half of these students don't even graduate.

Not too mention the fact that I live here at Camp Lejuene Marine corp base and I rarely see anyone coming from "poverty" they are all middle and upper middle class families.

"ASVAB Score - The Army requires a minimum AFQT Score of 31 to qualify for enlistment. However, in recent months, the Army has been approving more and more waivers for those with scores as low as 26 (Category IVA). To qualify for certain enlistment incentives, such as enlistment bonuses, an Army recruit must score a minimum of 50. Education - The Army allows more recruits to enlist with a GED than any other branch. In Fiscal Year 2008, only 83 percent of new Army recruits had a high school diploma (or at least 15 college credits)"
