Yeah, yeah... what some call pandering, others call listening to the will of The People.

    .
So show me a legitimate poll that shows the "will of The People" supports unrestricted immigration.

I upped my income, up yours.

A poll of house, senate, and state government democrats would show support for it.

Positions on immigration tests Democratic candidates - The Boston Globe

[presidential candidate] Senator Barack Obama of Illinois said during the debate that Americans are "justified in feeling frustrated" about illegal immigration because the Bush administration has done nothing to solve the issue. "It has become an extraordinary problem," he said.
Thats funny, because here is a 270 Illegal Immigrants Sent To Prison In Unprecedented Bush Admin Crackdown and now that Obama is president, he's giving Calderon a standing ovation for denouncing the AZ law that only mirrors, and tries to enforce the federal law he is sworn to uphold !

increased third world immigration benefits democrats since no I.D. is required to cast votes, and if at some future time they are required, the "tipping point" will have been reached where the uneducated heavily propagandized underclass will permanently outnumber those who pay taxes

We view the Arizona legislature as a dog and pony show designed to appeal to, well, bigots. This is indeed about furthering someone's political power.

I have a strong moral compass. I don't follow rules I see as immoral and I have boundless forgiveness for people who make the same decision. I don't always like people who act this way because some of them do so for very different sets of causes, but I respect people with pure and clear motives enough to really talk to them.

The more you complain, the less I care about your problems.

This is turning out bad for the Dems. AZ law mirrors federal law as well as it does CA law, yet lefties are getting their panties in a bunch.

They are also trying to take the moral highroad, which becomes plagued unless you are hypocrite.

I have to clean the gutters on the roof of my house.

I have done it alone before, but lately am reconsidering the wisdom of climbing a ladder alone and crawling around on my stomach on the edge of the roof scooping out leaves and debris.

I'll likely call an acquaintance (the husband of my neighbor's maid--illegal salvadorans) and pay him to help me.

When my father owned the house, I once criticized his judgment for bringing a young (white) kid over (from the description I suspected was a heroin addict) who asked him for work he met at the train station to do it. (My father did not think the kid was a junkie, just a punk rocker) He was old at the time and my only concern was his safety or that if he let someone in the house, they might case the joint for a break-in

Maybe if the borders were strictly enforced, there would be more opportunity for more enterprising young punkers.

I don't always like people who act this way because some of them do so for very different sets of causes, but I respect people with pure and clear motives enough to really talk to them.
Do I think its the government's place to tell me who to hire for odd jobs?
No, but, at least temporarily until our constituionally-intended relationship between the federal govt and the citizens is restored, I find it highly moral to restrict immigration.

I have nothing against hispanics or white junkies===how does that make me a bigot?

I as unaware that these groups made up the sizable majority of American citizens.

Perhaps it is your jaundiced view that is incorrectly measured.

So the feds will accept tips in order to raid an apartment buildings or businesses to find illegals, but they won't accept calls from state and local law enforcement?
