Sorry, barts. Hated Adam's performance this evening, hated it. The right two left - I called them before the credits even rolled! - and Adam left me colder than the coldest thing you can imagine. Loved Matt this week though. And Danny.

I have to ask, what's the point of having a 'theme' night, if you're not going to stick to the theme? Utter tosh.

That is very true, and I, for one, am very thankful for that, I like being able to string my sentences together ...You're no Paula Abdul, CDCC.
I think maybe it's a Brit thing, people on A N Other forum I frequent really don't like him either. I wonder what that is?

There are times-quite a few in fact-when it seems Ms Abdul has enjoyed a few before, or during, the show.
"A Brit thing", you say. I wonder if there is something cultural in the responses of the two sides of the Atlantic. I think they're is agreement that the guy can sing, can perform, and is talented.
But, he does grate some the wrong way. Perhaps it's his lack of restraint. His androgyny. Perhaps he's too pretty. His complete domination of the competition. Perhaps his consistent originality, compared to the other contestants. Perhaps his preparation for songs; unlike most of the contestants every aspect of Lambert's performances is choreographed.

I think you may have something there, there's no spontaneity, nothing natural, he's too smooth and too polished. What I normally like about AI/XFactor et al, is that you can see some pretty ordinary people on the road to becoming a performer, whereas Adam is already pretty much there ... I don't think anyone can deny his talent, but he's been pretty much steady-state since he appeared, there's been no reason to root for him, I guess.unlike most of the contestants every aspect of Lambert's performances is choreographed.

I'd agree that's it's a detriment on a show that is meant to be about unearthing new talent.

Best tread lightly there, Crualla. I've been madly in love with Paula since 1989 and 'Straight up'.Quote by: CruellaDeChaCha
Beg your pardon. Freddie Mercury could sing. You've never heard 'Bohemian Rhapsody'?Quote by: barts

I don't suffer from insanity... I thoroughly enjoy it

Oh, Sonart...
