Maybe they were knocking off celebrities, people on the internet with big opinions, family members of other politicians to keep their mouths shut
Right, and if they make it look like it was an accident, something 'natural'.... how many "big opinionateds" met with untimely ends recently?

Sounds like paranoid delusion to me, but to disprove it will be difficult. I'd suggest it would be better to see if critical views from "big opinionateds" diminish, if they do then figure there are hit squads out there tracking us down and erradicating dissenters. What ever happened to "Plus Ultra"?

Yes, Dick Cheney assassinated the Joker. There's only room for one evil mastermind in the world.
The thought did cross my mind.... but don't forget the last 7 years before that

Indeed, it's all wild assumptions..... but have you noticed since I came back I've been a little more calmer and tame?

    I wonder why?

wild assumptions? knowing the Cheney track record for decades now, its hardly wild and barely an assumption. People who have been killed? The DC Madam who was going to talk about prostitutes Cheney got (male?). There was the guy about to testify on the IT trial against Rove and Cheney regarding the programming behind the election fraud. There have been plenty of assassinations within the last few years domestically with political motives... there was also the woman who was suing over 9/11 (one of a few family members who didn't sign their rights away).

One wouldn't need a specific assasination attempt to make a case. We'd only need to establish that there was a directive. I'd imagine that the past admin is well aware of the chinks in their armor

If they were key witnesses, maybe. Any sources?

That's not the appropriate way of expressing skepticism in this matter.

sources on what exactly? you don't remember the DC madame? Do you want a youtube video of hiraldo rivera telling you its an assassination? Because it does exist. Be more specific on your source request, prove what exactly? That the IT guy was killed in a plan crash, which news source would you like to hear it from? Fox, MSNBC, CNN? I mean, I'm no detective, I can only link you to news proving they are dead under suspicious terms not that they were assassinated.

Let me explain: Dick Cheney has his own assassination unit. Pretty crazy, huh?
What... your surprised? After all, Bush assured us that the U.S. doesn't torture people. We just sorta... you know... torture them.

This wouldn't suprise me..... but if it is true.... why the heck didn't they send these fancy guys off to kill Osama in the first place and avoid a drawn out war?
I suspect they've probably tried. After all, bin Laden isn't a head of state or some such, he's a terrorist leader, and as such falls into some grey area in the legal proscriptions against assassination.

But wanting to do something, and actually being able to carry it out, given the difficulties in actually getting to bin Laden, are probably very different things.

Haven't heard of too many famous people getting assassinated, so either it didn't happen, they were really good at their job, or it was a bunch of truly deserving people....
I seriously doubt they'd target any "famous" people, lest folks start asking questions. No doubt there's all sorts of low placed, mid-level facilitators whose removal would gum up the works.

After all, as the former U.S. sniper stated when talking about his job during the Vietnam war, he didn't target the big leaders, who were well defended, he targeted the poor shmucks whose job it was to carry heavy mortar parts to the fight. If the NVA grunts were too terrified to carry such parts, then you eliminated the need for our troops to worry about mortars.

Bottom line, do I believe it? While I'm a fan of Seymour Hersh, I've seen no corroborative evidence, as I did with Hersh's articles about the Bush League efforts to mislead us about Iraqi WMD and terrorist connections.

But at the same time, knowing what we DO know about the Bush League's agenda, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised.

Let's just say that I'm sure there isn't anything Dick wouldn't do if it suited his agenda.

I suspect they've probably tried. After all, bin Laden isn't a head of state or some such, he's a terrorist leader, and as such falls into some grey area in the legal proscriptions against assassination.
Maybe. But since what bin Laden did, did more to raise the boat of these guys than anything else, why? I have a friend who worked for Reagan and always has been quite connected in Conservative circles. We had a lot in common when we first met because I had worked for the Conservative Party outside of NYC, even got an invite; Dad and I, to a private event with Nixon in Westchester. He claims bin Laden is dead. They found him and executed him on the spot. The tapes I've seen that seem to be released at convenient moment like trying to get a song charted are pretty damn bad: and I do digital editing in part for a living.

But the myth of bin Laden, the fear they stoked to get programs passed and elections won... finding him and killing him would be a temporary uptick. Keeping him around; dead or alive: like having a cow that can be milked for liquid gold.

    Ken's weekly column...

    Inspection.
