The point raised by you is very much valid and interseting at the same time.

Yes, our society has made sex or sex scenes worse than violence, but mainly for children and teens. Sex though attached more intensely with every person has been considered somehow ugly in the open, particularly for teens & under teens children. Society world over has considered sex to be enjoyed only after some matured age of every person. At lower age sex there is possibility of weaker offsprings production, damage to the very youg mothers reproduction system, then question of proper look after of the infants of very young parents... etc have compelled the society to put requiste ban on young ones to get acustomed to Sex affair at teens level. While; no such direct outcome effect is presumed from watching terror scenes or activity. Teens would themselves also won't get involved into life threating violence so easily but would enjoy sex with more natural sex instinct attraction, not bothering for the outcome of weak infants, their raring, own setting up in life professionally and the like.

I have put my views! Others might think differently.
"Recently?" Hell, we were arguing this during the 60s. And since we invented all controversies, it must have started then.

Yes, damn it, it is. Ban sex! Even thinking about it! Think, comrades. Wait, don't do that. Imagine! Wait, not that either. You must agree! Ah, that's "better." You MUST agree! No more sex! No more sex! We can... not do it! We can... not do it! Humanity will last forever!!!!!!! Wait, no it won't, but it won't last long if violence gets too bad.

Never mind. I'll stop typing now and go home and think about it. Aye... there's the RUB! Rub. Rub. rub...

Depends on who the fight is with. sex after a good row with the misses is a great way to get laid.

Or a fight while getting laid? I thought Tom Leher from the 50s said it best...

I ache for the touch of your lips, Dear,
But much more for the touch of your whips, Dear.
    You can raise welts
    Like nobody else,
As we dance to the Masochism Tango.

Let our love be a flame, not an ember,
Say it's me that you want to dismember.
    Blacken my eye,
    Set fire to my tie,
As we dance to the Masochism Tango.

    At your command
    Before you here I stand,
My heart is in my hand. Ecch!
It's here that I must be.
    My heart entreats,
    Just hear those savage beats,
And go put on your cleats
    And come and trample me.
Your heart is hard as stone or mahogany,
That's why I'm in such exquisite agony.

    My soul is on fire,
    It's aflame with desire,
    Which is why I perspire
    When we tango.

    You caught my nose
    In your left castanet, Love,
I can feel the pain yet, Love,
    Ev'ry time I hear drums.
    And I envy the rose
That you held in your teeth, Love,
    With the thorns underneath, Love,
    Sticking into your gums.

Your eyes cast a spell that bewitches.
The last time I needed twenty stitches
    To sew up the gash
That you made with your lash,
As we danced to the Masochism Tango.

    Bash in my brain,
And make me scream with pain,
    Then kick me once again,
    And say we'll never part.
    I know too well
    I'm underneath your spell,
    So, Darling, if you smell
    Something burning, it's my heart.
    (Burp)
    Excuse me!

Take your cigarette from its holder,
And burn your initials in my shoulder.
    Fracture my spine,
    And swear that you're mine,
As we dance to the Masochism Tango.

"What's wrong with sex and violence?"

Putting humor aside, if you've known those who have been beaten, wind up in the hospital, go back, get beaten again... and eventually wind up dead... well, a hell of a lot.

The temptation is to blame those who go back, but nothing excuses the behavior of those who beat others like that. That's not love, in any sense, IMO. There's a sickness to it.

Now S&M has never been my "thing," but when in mild doses and just "play," not what I was referring to... Hey, two consenting adults. None of my business. If it works for them...

    I was absolutely serious.
    Sex keeps many species non-extinct.
Violence runs nature - violence is a tool of survival, and isn't wrong, per se.

I liked folk music when I started high school. Then I heard Vatican Rag and became a radical. That's all it took. Tom made me a hippy.

    Is Sex worse than Violence.
I have been told that if the sex got any worse there would be violence. But that was years ago and I've been practicing.

Sex is worse than violence on the Wii. I don't want to be too specific, but it's something about the controller.

Ah, but I had been goofing around. Hence "humor aside."

I think as a "tool of survival" we are, hopefully, mostly past that. Not completely. If you're not a vegan... and violence used against plants is still violence... then someone must conk the cow in the head, shoot the deer, take off the chicken's head. And I do believe, on a very limited basis, that some of those who convicted of murder probably would best leave this plane of existence for the safety of society, or if necessary to protect oneself... violence may be necessary. There are exceptions to everything.

But the kind of violence is always important to such a discussion. Violence, unregulated, in general is bad. I'm a hell of a lot more lenient when it comes to sex compared to violence: but even then... pedophilia, rape... of course these are "bad" and even violence of a sort: especially rape.

I'm not a big believer in philosophical absolutes, for the most part.

Teen Pregnancy Linked To Viewing Of Sexual Content On TV

Adolescents who have high levels of exposure to television programs that contain sexual content are twice as likely to be involved in a pregnancy over the following three years as their peers who watch few such shows, according to a new RAND Corporation study.
I happened to come across this little article.
Lucky for me, it backs up what I said before. Sex is far more tempting for kids to try themselves.

There seem to be lots of kids at pro wrestling matches, and nobody seems to bat an eye at the sex and violence there.

    "RAND Corporation?"

Not exactly the best source, IMO.

However, watching more anything on TV... unsupervised; without discussion with parent, is a bad idea. The problem is less the material than using TV as some coma-like producing bloody babysitter.

I need not think and wait for your results of thinking! I very well know we at the mind deep inside are governed by natural instinct. Let me be honest, I still do all nasty things at 58 which I used to do in childhood and in teens as regards sex. But, still I can good surmonial talk on sex and its check which should be maintained by all (except ME) particularly youngesters/ immature ones !!!
