Just saw this on Digg this morning:
Digg - F**king town is here to stay
"It's not easy banging your head against some mad bugger's wall."
-- Roger Waters (Pink Floyd, "Outside the Wall")

There's a hamlet near Larkhall called Skellyton, which I thought was mildly amusing. Also, there's a cave on the Isle of Arran called "Cheese Hole".

One of the counties in Ohio is called Defiance.
Other funny towns in Ohio include Hicksville, Home, Businessburg, Dull, and River Styx. There's a Bangs, Ohio. Home to a creepy run-down poor house/Christan College.
Yea, we're weird here.

Yah, it's really long, it also is straight two minutes from where I live, cool history too.
Wecome to OldeWebster
“Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.”
-Albert Einstein

Can you actually pronounce that? Is there a shorter version? There's a lake in Canton, Maine that has a weird long name. I dont remember what it is. Everyone just calls it Canton Lake.
"It's not easy banging your head against some mad bugger's wall."

Everybody just calls it Webster lake, but it's easy to say if someone says it to you, and you say it while reading it.

I like the tautologous Torpenhow Hill in Cumbria.
If you translate the Brythonic "Tor" and "Pen", and the Anglo-Saxon "how", the name works out literally as Hill-Hill-Hill Hill.

Am I mistaken or does Lancaster County in Pennsylvania contain the towns of Intercourse, Paradise, and Bird in the Hand? (perhaps not stated in the right order LOL)
"I wish I was as cocksure of anything as Tom Macaulay is of everything."
-- Viscount Melbourne

Nono, you're right! Lol.
