Does god exist, that used to be my favorite debate topic, the ultimate debate, that has lasted many millenia and still has no winner in sight. Recently, after my time here I have noticed a pattern that seems to me explains why there is no winner and this pattern seems to point to a lot of wasted time and effort. As far as I have noticed neither side, through all the debating, and arguing, and the occationsl out of hand yelling and screaming, not a single person was convinced enough by either side to switch.
Those of us who believe there is no god have relentlessly pushed our logic and reason and questioned every aspect of the believers faith and yet nothing has come of it.
Those who do believe in god gave made a ridiculous effort to discredit science when in reality science isn't anti god, we just don't have any proof of his existence so science can't say anything about him, it never said he doesn't outright exist, just that there isn't any proof, and as soon as we develope a divinity detector or something like that and if we do detect him, he will become a natural (although still just as potentially powerful) force or entity. Either way all of your arguments seem to have as little an effect as the arguments of those who do not believe in god.
