I second that, these people should not be prosecuted as it is the government's fault if the citizens find out, but I still think a lot of thought should be taken before the exposure of a person.

Are you kidding? These spies are doing more to harm our country than help it. Freedom of speech is in the constitution, tell me where in the constitution they put the freedom to spy stuff. I say, fuck the FBI, CIA, and M16, all these sick people; their goals are anti-humanitarian and no "but they keep america safe" line of bullshit it going to convince me otherwise.
They just do what they're told. The fault lies with the people who give the orders.
No matter how you cut it, these people ARE working for this country and they step over the line on the say so of corrupt and criminal politicians.
You don't REALLY think anyone wants to join the FBI or the CIA for the express purpose of undermining this country, the country THEY live in too, do you?
That just doesn't add up.

This week: Republicans, Cain, Elitists and my experience in Occupy Delaware's General Assembly

Show me where a civilian signed something or gave an oath saying they wouldn't reveal the profession of a person sloppy enough to not keep it secret.Quote by: billybobama

I got no problem with him doing this at all...... he seems to reveal information besides just the US, so it's kinda an equal information grab, and thus, anybody, including your enemies, can view it..... much as you can view theirs if it is on there.... kinda levels things out if you ask me.
Every elected and appointed Federal Official takes an oath. What planet have you been living on? And during a time of of war every U.S. Citizen is under the law. When Valerie Plame was outed it was during a time of war. Every Republican involved should be in prison or executed. But the Valerie Plame investigation was just another Republican cover up. Of course I knew it would be since it was a Republican Investigation. You do know there was not one Democrat involved in the whole Valerie Plame affair, did you not?

I know that. I said, "civilian"Quote by: billy
Which law? And where is it written that in a time of war I fall under it?Quote by: billy
Those were the only two lines relevant to the topic, and the only responses I'll discuss.

Since when do you need a freedom to "spy stuff"? Citizens are obviously (or at least they should be) off limits without a warrant, but espionage is the front during peacetime (and during wartime). I don't think their stated goals are anti humanitarian, as far as I know, they have no other public goal than to protect the american people and american influence (or in MI6's case, the british. They obviously often have alterior goals, and their means are often objectable, but I don't see their very existance as anti-humanitarian, the CIA could be a powerful influence for good if the excecutives bothered to change their ways. Anyway, putting another countryman in mortal danger no matter who he works for when he is not known to be doing wrong is not acceptable to me.

How is it doing so?Quote by: billy
Again, where is the document that says such?
Resorting to the Constitution doesn't cut it. You need to give me more than that if you want to have a logical basis for your position.
My mistake. I thought the U.S. Constitution was the supreme law of the land. But I guess you know better. U.S. Spies are undercover soldiers. They are shot if they are cought. A special investigator was just put on the case of who outed Valerie Plame. I guess we always have investigation when no crime has been committed. I think you just like defending Traitors. Most Republicans do admire Traitors, I do not know why. Maybe you can tell me.
