I was under the false notion that ... the idea in a debate is to present the most compelling argument, which involves actually using evidence.

Well, Ghumanto, crop circles are "true" in the sense that they exist. Nobody is disputing that. I guess the conclusion of this thread so far is that no-one has produced convincing* evidence that crop circles are anything more than:

1) the work of people out there in the field making them

2) the work of people sitting in front of a computer screen doctoring photos.

* Peer reproduction of Levengood's results would change things.
