How then do you explain the timing of the posts? Was the search engine optimization software only running from 2pm until 5pm today?

Bacon,
Sean and I were actually discussing this earlier... where all the members were coming from. He was convinced they were from search engines but I am still skeptical until I can check the stats tomorrow.
I'm not on trial here, thank you.
Well I doubt it's the search optimization tool that was the main reason. It was definately the election that had to do with it.

If I could get some usernames, it would help.

If one stays and contributes...yay

I gotta go with Pat on this one. So far, none of the noobs have posted today. Let's see how the rest of the week plays out.

I noticed the same thing. A whole lot of one-posters making quick little snippet comments and then not posting again.
Do you need usernames?
Can't you just check the logs to find out the registered users, the email addresses they registered with, and other such goodness?

If you'd like actual numbers, there were 68 registrations on the 8th, as opposed to about 4 on a typical day. About 2/3 made one post and the other third made either 0 or more than 1.
Traffic in general on the 8th was the highest in a while, at 10,500 pageviews and 700 visits.

OK, OK, I could be wrong...
