I recently read an article about black holes talking about a new theory, that a black hole between the event horizon and the singularity is made of up a tangle of "strings." This means that when matter falls into a black hole, it will change the interior or that hole, so the whole process will be reversable. This is in contrast to the old model, where when stuff fell in, information would be destroyed.

Another article This one is really short, but dry and scientific, tells that information can be stored, changed, and so on on the surface of the event horizon.

An old scientific american article that i can't find suggests that supermassive black holes can contain enough information on their surface to contain an entire universe, and the idea of strings from the surface to the singluarity seems like it would expand the possibilities for storing information. So, is a black hole the hologram of another universe?

OOOH, theoretical physics

When i think of a black holes, i think of the space between theoretical astrophysicists ears.
If there is a 'hologram of another universe' then it too is in between the theoretical astrophysicists ears.
So maybe the ‘black hole’ is the ‘hologram of another universe’ like you suggest. :)

It was theorized by Hawkings that all of the information sucked into a black hole would be contained in a massless particle. According to the uncertainty principal no particle has a definite location in space and time and therefore that packet of information could and would blip out of existance at the time when all of the black hole's mass had radiated away.- Is that artical suggesting that the information from all that has been "sucked in" is contained in the strings or is it represented by the chaotic nature of the tangle of strings? Moreover, doesn't matter usually "fall" down towards the singularity- after all, it is the busted out end of space-time...

haha- I started diving into the full paper that goes with the abstract that was posted as a link and got lost almost right away, nothing like theoretical astrophysicist jargon.
