| Igneous Magma Posts: 332 | Can someone explain to me how companies endeavor to produce prototypes to fill govt/military requests for technology? Do they get subsidized prior to coming up with actual functional proposals, or is it with their own capital, which they make back in spades later, once they get the contract, through overcharging? If you come up with something they like they will fund the project through a grant. I wouldn't recommend sex, drugs and insanity for everyone, but its always worked for me.
