Well while I'm at home most of my fruit and veg is grown by my mam, and thats all organic. The meat is usually organic, or at least free range. I occaisionally hunt rabbit and that is as free range and organic as I can expect.

On the MMR thing, I'm not surprised that there was a scare. I would much rather get measles, mumps and rubella consectively than have autism. These diseases arn't wide-spread killers, despite what the revisionists keep trying to make out. Autism is awful, however. Now we know the report was dodgy, and the rate of MMR usage will go up again. Better to have been safe than sorry untill we knew better.
No, you're not getting me. There was NO TENABLE LINK between autism and the vaccine. This doc was PAID by some pissed off parents to be biased towards suggesting there was a link. There was no doubt amongst the medical profession that the vaccines were safe, the report was lampooned but the media sensationalised it. Human stupidity took over and then we saw a rise in the respective diseases.
Honestly, are you going to defend human stupidity?

The majority of people in this country only have media to rely on for their information. They are not going to look into the science journals which lambasted the crap that guy put out. So if all you know is what the media says, and the media initially tells you that the MMR may be linked to autism, then the sensible thing would be to refuse the MMR, because all of those diseases are far, far preferable to risking autism.

It's not stupidity, it's a lack of useful sources. Although their insistance on reading The Sun would lead me to doubt their intelligence...

That is my exact point, the freakin' education IS there. The articles are free to be viewed online. There was no conspiracy on the science and medical part, it was the sensationalising media.
I think it's pure retardness when every single doctor tells you that the same fact but somehow, the media puts out a measly unsubstantiated report and it becomes the new universal truth. Until we can control the media and make them report sensibly, the GM food industry will have to be conspicious.

Okay, but is any of this good reason not to clearly label products as containing GM ingrediants?
