Of course it's unrealistic, but there is still a good cross-application of skills. I do a lot of paintballing, and the stratagies and aiming reflexes are the same.

I hate first person shooter games. They are way too slow. In real life you can scan an entire room and react in a matter of half-seconds; in a game, you have to slowly spin the mouse around.

Even training with dummies is more fun than first person shooters.

Ideological loyalty is the act of giving your soul to a vague concept, to be manipulated by people smarter than you.

Obviously we cant do what we do in the game in real life.(without joining the army that is). First person shooters are a great way to be able to shoot stuff from the comfort of your own home.

any first person shooter game is un-realistic. Requires less aim.
Eh? And i suppose third person is more realistic?

Actually first person shooters with mouse are very quick to spin around, much faster than you could do in real life if you are using a mouse..if you are using keys well thats a different story. I also play halo2, console, although currently am trying to get into doom3 without much luck. I also just bought an oldy today which apparently is a master of orion analogue called galactic civilizations...ahh good old master of orion still one of my favourites. :)
