The Ring...an american remake of the Japanese classic, I wonder if they paid royalties?

Anyway, the original Planet of the Apes was much better than the remake by Tim Burton, if you just look beyond the sfx and fancy costumes.

Twelve Monkeys was surprisingly thought provoking, had a good twist in it that could be confusing if you thought too much about, well for me anyway.

Also, most films made now are all 12A, so it's hard for the directors and writers to get more serious and adult materials in, something darker. I prefer T2 to T3 any day.

I watched 12 monkeys all day once, I used to love it so much, I think it is probably Terry Gilliams best movie yet, although the Fisher King was quite good.
Sad and tragic endings are the go, they are usually the sign of a more intelligent or meaningful movie,.
Has any of you guys seen Gallipoli. its an Aussie war film with Mel Gibson from the early eightys, it has one of the saddest endings out.
I highly recommend it to you.

The interesting thing about Twelve Monkeys is that it's not even far fetched, after studying a bit of Microbiology I've come to realise how dangerous our work of GM is. But then I'm still going to study it at the degree level. *shrugs*

It won't hit, and if it came close, we would probably send up a nuke, or a high powered thruster to divert it's course.

So what it comes close 2012, the Mayans didn't know anything. They just decided to end their calender then.
