Having worked fundraising for a well known UK cancer charity, I came across this journal on another site I frequent, and it made me slightly mad.

All of my life I've watched family members struggle with the ravages of cancer and the debilitating effects of the 'standard' treatments. Dr B developed a treatment against cancer (focusing on terminal inoperable brain cancer) that does not have the nasty side effects that other treatments carry.

He treats cancer as one would an infection, with a kind of 'cancer antibiotic'. Through genetic analysis, Dr B can determine exactly what designer medication to come up with to combat the exact type of cancer a patient has.

Dr B may be able to come up with an immunization against cancer.

While his discoveries and therapies are ground breaking and earth shaking, what he has had to go through to continue his practice has been unconscionable. The man who pioneered the greatest medical discovery in a century should have been lauded as a hero, a hero that saves countless of lives today and into the future while relieving the world of the most costly affliction.

Instead...

If you only have the time to watch one of the extensive movies (the first is in 5 parts), take the time to watch the second one. It is of much better quality and provides a more comprehensive presentation of what Dr B has done and been through.

Also, the second video will only be up until tomorrow. So please, take a bit of time and pass on the video and Dr B's name.

He deserves a fucking statue.

It can be harder to just recognize it, though, as sales techniques have evolved over the years. It makes the case for global solidarity as never before.

Given that (as far as I can tell) the good doctor hasn't published even a single paper in peer-reviewed literature on cancer therapy... I'm fairly confident that he's full of crap.

Everyone wants some kind of "magic bullet," for cancer. The problem is, it doesn't - and never will - exist. Cancers arise for different reasons - even within a certain type of cancer. While a greater understanding of the mechanisms and causes of cancer have led to significant improvements in treatment, the fact remains that each type of cancer has to be treated independently, and will often involve more than one genetic and/or signaling abnormality in cancer cells that require treatment.

In contrast, this sounds like a damn good source:

dietary manipulation may at least improve quality of life for adult cancer patients, and,
together with conventional therapy, may prolong survival in selected cancer patients.

patients must be controlled very strictly, since tumors in children have not been shown to be
influenced by diet, and the diets described may be inadequate for children with malignant
disease."
