Scientists find superbugs in Delhi drinking water

It first emerged in India three years ago and has now spread across the world.
"We would expect that perhaps as many as half a million people are carrying NDM 1-producing bacteria as normal (gut) flora in New Dehli alone," Toleman said.
The World Health Organisation WHO.L has designated April 7 as World Health Day and under the slogan "No action today, no cure tomorrow" it is campaigning about the risks of life-saving antibiotics losing their healing power.

The best thing to do in this situation is to find a new antidote! Leave it to me!

    Um...

Okay seriously, if we were to observe these bugs as being resistant to antibiotics, we need something new to kill them with. How about retrovirals? That is medicine, yes?

Now, for us to kill these bugs we need to produce more white or red, I cannot remember, blood cells. This can be done with growth hormones, or blood transfusions. Quickly they will be outnumbered and killed by a whole mass of protecting blood cells.

Or, we could try to cool the blood to stop them reproducing so fast. To do this we could inject the blood stream with some 'cooling agents'. This will be to our detriment though. Then we see what happens when people get sick is they get hot. This is to help the body fight the disease, so, to get rid of the bacteria, we need to heat the blood rather... same differnece if you ask me! So, off to a sauna where the body can produce some sort of cure.

Or, we could try to flush it out with some exercise! If we were to observe what happens to the body with exercise - sweating - there is room to either go to a sauna or exercise enough to get rid of this stuff. Maybe if there was another way to excrete your bacteria, like through eating spicy foods, making you go to the loo, that could also help.

Charlatan, you'd better stop before this thread becomes an academic plague.
