We want you to actually provide evidence instead of just preaching. If you cannot or refuse to, please leave this thread.

You cannot simply continue to say that the bible is an absolute truth despite all the contradictions and evidence against its truth that we have brought to your attention and that you have not been able to debate against. This is a debate forum, not a chapel. You cannot debate by saying we are wrong simply because we contradict the bible, because we are saying that the bible is false, despite how much you might think that it is true.

Evidence that is not directly tied into your world-view and hugely subjective would be a start. This is a debate board, as you have been informed several times over. If you are unwilling to debate, then you will receive infractions for disrupting threads.
The Evidence is right in front of you! Can you not see the imperfections of human "evidence?"

Quote:
Yet you claim to. You just say XXX is the Truth, while at the same time saying we can't comprehend this Truth. How do you know what is True? Why don't we know?
If you begin to Believe the Actual Truth, you will see.

Oh, please. Don't encourage him to post his bleating nonsense from his book of mythology. You're just encouraging him to claim that the Bible is the TROOTH (tm) because the Bible says it is the TROOTH (tm).

I have read the Bible, all of it. And have taken classes on it. Yet we share very different views of the Bible. I want to get to the bottom of it. Why is it so hard to just provide textual support for your points? I'm not going to believe your points until I'm sure your on God's side and not just filling in the blanks.

First, sorry for miss quoting you. I've been doing that a lot lately (should get more sleep)

Second, I'm trying to prove that not only is he factually wrong, he is not in line with his own religion.

What are you talking about? Comeon. That is ridiculous. Why would you think I would be "filling in the blanks?"

Will_00, If you do not have any arguments that you can support without using something like "It's god's will" "the bible is true" or" It is the one truth" then stop posting. This isn't the place for you to preach to people. All it does is interrupt the debates.

Yet, you still haven't even answered my question.

What question towards me have you asked? I've seen you pose questions to others, but not myself. Please, point out where you asked a question, and I shall answer it.

It appears that if you don't understand the question or can't think of a reasoned response, you just "fill in the blanks", where a thoughtful reply should be, with platitudes that have no substance.

That is, yet again, incorrect. You continual refuse to Believe the Truth, which IS Existent, through your "circular" beliefs in imperfect "truth."

Because our evidence has been examined by many hundreds of different scientists, we have thousands of fossils, we can observe the evolution of bacteria resistant to antibiotics. We have plenty of evidence that has been examined by many scientists and found to be accurate. On the other hand, there is no evidence of creationism. No evidence has been found. And BTW, saying "the bible says so" isn't evidence.

See how debate works? Your statements of personal fact aren't convincing and won't be unless you expand on them and explain what you mean.

Allow me to revise. What makes your "evidence" true?
It has been tested by using it to make predictions about things that had not yet been observed that actually turned out to be true. And those observations were tested by making predictions....

You see, the evidence for science is the observations. The evidence is factual. It can be seen. We can see apples fall, we can see the moon orbit, we can see populations of animals change over time. Your mythology can't be tested because it can't be observed. It your claim that it is true or that you know the TROOTH. You can't support what you believe with a single bit of evidence. Science doesn't take belief, just the ability to observe and to reason. Your point of view requires a lack of thinking.

It IS an opinion, and an unbased one at that. You have yet to provide any evidence whatsoever.

Have none of the advice and admonishments regarding proper debate made a dent? There are consequences to continually disregarding the forum rules and disrupting threads with non-debate.
