The Probability of Cryo-Patient Rescue

If the human race technologically advances forward as it has been doing for the past decades, then the probability increases dramatically in favor for the future cryonics patient rescues.

Cryonics Debate Goes to Court in Iowa

Not everything is secure in the world of cryonics suspension, because there are some legal loop-holes that still exist on the books --- in some states.

Iowa for example, now has a court-case that challenges the 'next of kin' rights and rulings of regional judges, in regard to the legal disposition of remains for those pre-selecting and contract paying for cryonics procedures, to be immediately started at the time of death.

The last wishes and final requests of some individuals can be revoked, including pre-existing legal contracts involving the deceased --- at least in Iowa.

This then forces the pre-selected contract company to become responsible to pursue legal proceedings to challenge previous rulings, ------

And in the mean time, the deceased body has been buried or cremated, leaving it impossible to comply with the cryonics suspension procedures.

Quantum Physics Implications Upon the Future of Cryonics

In quantum mathematics, a particle is said to have a position and momentum, which is its location in space/time and its relative directional velocity line of travel.

Quite simply; Location -- v/s -- Where it is going.

An observer can detect a particles' location, but according to the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle, once the location is established, then the momentum becomes an uncertain and inaccurate measurement.

You can either know the location or momentum of a particle, but 'not' both of them at the same time.

This opens the doorway to the Collapsed Wave Function, which basically states that through time/space entropy, there is a number of possible outcomes for any given event, but as each second goes by, there are choices and non-choices being made, that collapses the wave of selection and locks the outcome into final reality.

Quantum physics shows how quantum particles are sometimes here, sometimes there, and sometimes both here and there at the same time.

Some particles such as muons have been detected and studied at CERN in 1964 traveling through time!

When you crunch all of this down into its simplest form, scientists have determined that the choices we make in the present moment, today, in the here and now, can and do indeed affect past and future outcomes from a distance.

Every single moment of action or non-action, we are collapsing the wave functions that alter past and future outcomes, and this solidifies our current moment in reality.

Applying this to cryonics, as people make the choice to become for or against the concept of cryonics, these same choices are affecting the past and future outcomes of cryonics, that actually make the present moment become an existing outcome in reality to begin with.

This of course is applied to every field of thought, design or endeavor that you can possibly imagine, and perhaps it is our own imaginations that create our own perceptions of existence in the first place.

The chicken or the egg?

I say both came first!

Quantum theory works but is not complete, even the greatest minds cant agree so I am going to hold off on my beliefs about this untill there is more concrete science........

Is this what you mean though....ie. I suspect that like a billard ball on a frictionless pockectless pool table that every action has a measurable reaction. Only we live in 3 or more dimensions not 2 and the variables of cause and effect are astronomical. That doesnt mean with a big enough computer you couldnt crunch the numbers and determine every event down to the very sub atomic particles all the way up to the macro world which includes the brains and minds of all who existed and all they have affected. Only it would be really really really hard to do and time doesnt wait for the numbers to crunch out..it keeps churning out more data. With such a super computer could you completely reconstruct the past to at least a practical virtual reality level???

I had though about this..and if some advance aliens could have done this or God as we define him??? and then by sheer chance I watched stanley kubricks AI and thats sort of what the aliens did at the end with some corny hollywood twists.

as for the chicken and the egg...I have a theory...LOL
evolution would have a common ancestor to the chicken..we'll call him the chucken or neander-chicken but the word egg is commonly used for many different species including prehistorical ones...so there was an egg even before the chucken mutated enough for us to consider it a full fledged chicken!

Molecular Random Drift Causes the DNA/RNA Aging Process

Most of modern physics is shrouded within a cloak of theoretical mathematics, and until experiments such as the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC), or until other particle accelerators can shed new light upon our reality, then much is still based in pure hypothetical speculation.

However, much information has already been confirmed by electrodynamics and thermodynamics.

As everything ages through thermodynamic entropy, molecules slow down and lose energy, thus causing 'molecular random drift'.

DNA/RNA begin to mutate and this accelerates the aging process.

Theoretically it follows that, the underlying cause for molecular drift is nuclear drift, coming from an originating 'quantum random diffusion'.

Each one is dependent upon the next in succession, in order to produce stability.

When this stability collapses, aging accelerates with the arrow of time.

You could also get on a ship traveling at the speed of light, and come back to Earth in a few years and just pretend you were in cryonic suspension

If evil is my enemy, then I will fight against it. If evil is on my side, then evil is my friend. If it is simply the way of all human nature, are we then all evil?

Reply to Black Ghost + Progressive Cryonics Research

> Reply to Black Ghost :

Black Ghost; With the fabric of space/time expanding and accelerating, thus expanding and accelerating time in its wake, then your trip at the speed of light will soon only take a matter of a few months, when it used to take several years!!!

Some argue that time is slowing down; however, our human perception of time across all age ranges of polled individuals is showing that :

"Time is speeding up, with only short intervals of slowing down".

There is an anomaly occuring, and since the mass of the Earth or Sun is not decreasing drastically, then the most likely cause to be observed is in the fabric of space/time itself.

If we could measure time and space with a ruler, and since that ruler would be subject to the same laws of expansion and acceleration, then the ruler would show 'NO' change measurable, but in reality these changes would actually exist.

Is Time Speeding Up?

Blind Optimism v/s Scientific Inevitability

The scientific community must keep-in-check the self-dooming quality of blind optimism concerning the field of modern cryonics, and yet it appears that cryonic resuscitation in the future has become truly inevitable.

Cryonics Meets Medicine

There have been a multitude of legal battles from state to state and country to country, bringing cryonics into a direct confrontation with the medical laws within their jurisdiction.

Cryonic embalming is still felt by many professionals to be illegal, causing the struggle to continue.

Transhumanism: What are the Dangers & Benefits?

Cryonics is currently involved with the Transhumanism evolution of mankind, in regard to the life extension process.

The general population needs to stay on guard against government manipulation of this pure evolutionist movement!

Transhumanism is held by most individuals to be a beautiful futuristic vision of Transtopia.

A future world where humans never die, and are augmented by machines (robotics and computers), chemistry, nanotechnology, and biological enhancement, made complete with self-governing freedoms.

It is up to us here today, to take an affirmative action approach to the situation, and begin to participate in these futuristic selections, that are taking place right now!

The following is not only a look at Transhumanism, but also gives the observer the chance to become an active part of the 21st century discussions in progress.

Arthur C. Clark and Cryonics

Arthur C. Clark assisted with Alcor's cryonics legal battles by first approving of this practice, and by furthermore attempting to establish an estimated probability of eventual cryo-patient resuscitation in the far future.

*There seems to be two major public reactions toward human cryonics suspension --- many people have a strong belief in its ultimate success, while still many others maintain very serious doubts.

> Article Link Excerpt :

To many people, the demonstration of the technical feasibility of cryonics is not sufficient to make cryonics arrangements for themselves.

Although cryonics can be presented as an advanced form of critical care medicine, one important difference between conventional medical treatment and cryonics is the duration of care, during which the patient is not conscious.

As a consequence, contemporary cryonics is intrinsically tied to resuscitation in a far, and unknown, future.

*While this may be part of its appeal to some, it seems to produce feelings of angst and vulnerability in many others.

This is not a trivial matter and needs careful thought by those offering cryonics services.

Legal Debate: "Cryonics and Embalming"

One of the largest and most persisting legal debates within the world of cryonics is: >>>>

Are cryonics facilities illegally 'embalming' without proper liscensing?

Each state or province has their own set of established laws, and these facilities are not embalming with standard embalming fluids, but rather 'embalming' with glycerol antifreeze (a cryopreservation technique) --- under improper licensing --- so many professionals argue!

Mr. Freeze / Dr. Robert C.W. Ettinger Comparisons

I have seriously speculated for some time now, that the D.C. comic book creation of the notorious supervillain Mr. Freeze, created by Bob Kane, was truly inspired by the real-life drama of Dr. Robert C.W. Ettinger - physics professor & father of the modern global cryonics movement.
