Biologists Laura Reed and Prof Therese Markow made the discovery by observing breeding patterns of fruit flies that live on rotting cacti in deserts. The work could help scientists identify the genetic changes that lead one species to evolve into two species. The research is published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. One becomes two Whether the two closely related fruit fly populations the scientists studied - Drosophila mojavensis and Drosophila arizonae - represent one species or two is still debated by biologists. ![]() Son of X51 Location: San Diego Posts: 3,568 | I intend to breed a new species that is a kitten with feathers. I'm not sure how I will do this yet. Maybe I will use some kind of genetic machine or ask Jesus. I'll call it a Kitty-Cock. It's sure to be a family favorite. Basically, it combines the warm and lovable qualities of a cat, with the feathers of a peacock. It might have a beak, maybe not. But, it will be able to lay eggs. They will not fly because that would be ridiculous. I'd like to thank Charlie Hodge, bringing me scarves and water. |

every time i got in a discussion with a creationist their main fued was within the macroevolution. they were, though, accepting of microevolution. the difference is they've proved microevolution, but not a species jump. but thats just from my understanding.

There's no pleasing some people. War is Peace Freedom is Slavery Ignorance is strength Harness the power of Ingsoc, then you can capture someone killed the year before

As for examples of observed speciation, try here. I don't suffer from insanity... I thoroughly enjoy it
