Back From The Dead

Here is a neat little article. Although, I can easily see the moral issues growing against this like the mold growing as hastily as it does on old bread, I thought it might be interesting enough to bring up.

I would say be skeptical of what you read...but I don't know much on the particular study either.

I posted a video about this, these experiments first started in 1932 and were being done by russian research facilities along with help from outside universities.

Believe me, what you think you know about science pales in comparison to the truth of just how curious governments and researchers are in relation to time.

What I'm trying to say is, if they were doing that back then, imagine what they are doing now, let me find that video.

Think of your brain as a collection of billions of intricate "open/closed" switches. That's really all the electircal/chemical pathways between neurons are. These relays release chemicals in series which forms thoughts.

When a person dies, all of these switches turn to "open". The human brain requires a tremendous amount of oxygen to function properly.

It is, however, possible to survive in a cold enviroment. Basically, everything in the body just "stops". The switches just get stuck where they are or function only slightly. This is why people who fall through icy lakes can survive being frozen for short spells and survive without brain damage.

The trick is making sure the person doesn't freaze. When the water in the body's cell freazes, it expands and will (usually) burst the cell, killing it.

As for the ethical consequences? As much as I like animals, if the research is worthwhile then no cost in animal life is too high. There's not a parent alive who wouldn't wipe out an entire breed of dog if it meant saving their child.

Go ahead and watch this.

If your quessy I would recomend against watching it, however the educational value outweighs the moral/imoral implications.

Well, that was an interesting video. It's hard to believe something like that was done.

Here is a link in Wikipedia. Fact or Fiction? I'll let you all decide...

This is about that exact movie.
