Wouldn't a belief in God and an afterlife logically lead one to accept death and let go? How exactly does Faith make you cling to life? (Especially a life of pain and disease?) "None are so hopelessly enslaved as those who falsely believe they are free." -- Johann Von Goethe | |

Now, speaking of praying and the person not wanting to die, sometimes people have the will to do enormous things, an this may be one of them. They develop strengths either physically, or mentally that allow them to get through tough times in their lives. Does this mean that God doesn't exist? No, this is just our rationality when someone lifts up a car to save a family member or what causes people to run into burning buildings to save the lives of others, or what causes someone to survive because they have unfinished business on this planet.
