I didn't ignore it, I just didn't respond to it.
I think I know what you're trying to say but this still deserves a nomination for quote of the day!

And yes, if your definition of a God is anything called a god then I am a theist. Is there a point to this?

Religion is poison because it asks us to give up our most precious faculty, which is that of reason, and to believe things without evidence. It then asks us to respect this, which it calls faith. - Christopher Hitchens

I think it is the specific concept of a specific God atheists tend to have a problem with, which sort of puzzles me because most of them are pretty open minded about ETs. See my post directly above.
I'm very open minded about evidence. Have any?

This has got to be the most ridiculous anti-atheism arguments going around theist circles. "God" does not exist merely because some theist defines it as "dairy cows" or "hydrogen atoms".

Don't be ridiculous. Hydrogen atoms aren't gods... dairy cows on the other hand...

I don't think you fully understand the meaning of the Bible. God created man to live forever in paradise conditions under his guidance and protection. Adam rejected that and under the influence of his wife who had been deceived by the angel who was there to protect them raised the question of Jehovah's sovereignty, before not only all of Adam's offspring to come but also the spirit creatures in heaven. In all fairness God had to step back and allow the question to be addressed. Can mankind exist without the protection and guidance of God? You continue to reject God, so it isn't accurate or fair to blame him for the atrocities of Adam's decision.
I continue to reject God? What makes you capable or qualified in any sort of way to make such a judgement? You are incapable of making such a judgement. You know neither my heart nor my mind.

I never reject God. My heart is open to God. I continuously seek God. I continuously live a life for God.

Please don't make ridiculous judgements when you have no idea what you are talking about.

You are not a messenger for God or an ambassador for God.

That's a good point. If such an omnipotent deity exists I question whether he truly loves. Look at all the atrocities in our world even after so called saviours like Jesus.

On top of that we are supposed to have a loving relationship with us yet he hides himself from us.

God reminds me of an alcoholic stepfather. He commands respect from us but he is never around.

I'm all for having a skeptical attitude, I consider myself a skeptic, but if, like you say, you are seeking God, then upon what grounds do you question his existence, his saviors and his love, place the blame of the atrocities of your world upon him, suggest he is hiding from specifically a possible lovingly relationship and compare him to an absent alcoholic step father?

If that is acceptance who needs rejection?

You have answered your own questions. The point to this is that there is evidence which suggests the definition of atheism and the concept thereof is nonsensical. It demonstrates an appallingly obtuse understanding of that which it claims to be critical of.

I am atheist to all the gods ever invented by men including the christian god.
You are atheist to all the gods ever invented by men except the christian god.

    Which position is more obtuse?

Would an atheist here (anyone) kindly explain the logic/reasoning behind deeming themselves atheist vs. agnostic?

    I'm agnostic and atheist.

I don't know if gods exist or not(agnostic) but so far the evidence for gods is unconvincing(atheist).

    Compare to-

    I have faith god exists(theist).

Well, both. I'm not atheist by any means. As I said earlier, there are many gods in the Christian Bible.

In other words you have faith that no god exists (atheist).
