    God is Schizophrenic

    Assuming God is Real

Why else would there be so many other religions? Let's examine a few other options:

God allowed people to create different religions because

    A: He doesn't give a shit

B: He wanted to spice things up

    C. He enjoys confusing and misleading people

    D. He is powerless to stop competing belief systems

    E. He doesn't want everyone to go to heaven (or doesn't want hell empty)

Now I know what you Christians are going to say, " He gives us freewill so we will accept him without force". O.K., but if god has the following attributes:

Omniscient - knows everything before it happens

    Omnipotent - can do anything

    Omnibenevolent - all loving

how does that coincide with the current state of affairs - 1000's of different competing religions?

Why wouldn't a God with these characteristics choose one of the following options:

Live among us on this planet

Have us live with him in heaven

Beam knowledge of his existence into every mind with unmistakable messages that prove his existence

Have his message constantly communicated over all the media sources of the world.

I'm sure that there are plenty of other ideas. So,
Do you guys think God is schizophrenic? If not, which of the other explanations would you choose?

True, but I said - Assuming God is Real. I don't really believe he exists.

Well, if he thinks he is God, that is probably the diagnosis he would get...

All I see when I look down, something jumpin' on the ground, Scratchin' dirt, cluckin' in the barnyard -
Tell me, could that be you?

That's the good thing about being insane, you don't have to.

Why is it, He, doesn't exist? It should be. She doesn't exist. See, "Stellaaa!" The one thing that holds humans down, is humans. There is no dooms day. If there is, we will bring it on our selves. Jesus Christ!!

This thread is irrelevant and assuming...

You assume most people believe in God (as to answer fully the existence of God is a given)

Then to assume some more if God does exist (which I do believe) you are attempting to label him with a human concept (mental illness) when he is in fact non-human.

God has not made his presence felt on the Earth, if he took away all religion and left 'the one true one' which would default that which he has preserved.

I am not a Christian we have free will to an extent (not as much as we want and not half as much as we think we have).

To be honest I think God is a scientist and we are a project gathering dust behind a curtain in his lab.
