Well, financially it makes sense. Why would you keep lower paying tenants, when you can get those who are willing to pay more for the same price. I donot feel the government should get involved in such things though (not anymore). If the landlords want them removed, let them go down and remove them themselves. I see no reason why other taxpayers should have to pay for something that does not benefit them at all.

People want to make money off their investments. An apartment complex is a HUGE investment, so it is not unreasonable for them to expect a return on their investment.

It's not unreasonable for victims of natural disasters to have some dignity.
