I didn't say STOP them, I said stop the illegal enrty. You do that two fold, secure the damned borders, and make jobs for illegals.. a severe detriment to employers.

No jobs, they will QUIT coming in such droves. Oh, and quit giving aid to people here illegally, no more anchor babies, no more scool, no more anything.

Einstein's "Theory of Relativity" is still being challenged to this day, but by consensus Global Warming is a fact... that's REAL science at work, why didn't Albert just go that route?

problem is, you have cities out there that will refuse to uphold these laws. secondly, if we put more on the border, it could possibly be taken as an act of war. I wasn't saying that illegal immigrants shouldn't be stopped, I said we should make becoming legal more tantalizing than not.

the congress voted him the right to go to war. he asked for them to vote. they knew who he wanted to go after, they knew that he was going to use that right if they gave it to him. you gonna arrest Kerry and the rest of the congress that voted nearly unanimously to let him go to war? and secondly, if I was in the room, I would bring friends, and I would force you to arrest the whole bunch of us with him. so, you have the pres, the congress, and 2000 civilians to place under arrest, hows about we turn it around and place you under citizen's arrest for treason?

Was I addressing you, or did I pull your chain? Did I kick over your stone? Did I rattle your chimes, or bunch your panties?

I maintain that soldiers, no matter what their orders, must still take full responsibility for their actions as moral, consciencious human beings. If they believe that war is wrong, they should never have joined the military in the first place. If they are so cowardly that they would sooner run away than defend their homeland, well I certainly wouldnt want them in MY unit.
You are ignoring reality and I don't intend to hijack this thread over it. It's a waste of time trying to debate a "wouldn't it be nice if..." argument so I will not continue.

However, I will leave you with this one little bit of info about a soldier's "right" to refuse an order.

Briton Punished for Refusing 3rd Iraq Tour
By DANICA KIRKA, Associated Press Writer

LONDON - A military court Thursday convicted a British air force doctor of disobeying orders and sentenced him to eight months in prison after he called the Iraq war illegal and refused to return for a third tour of duty.

Flight Lt. Malcolm Kendall-Smith, who said U.S. actions in Iraq were on par with those of Nazi Germany, was convicted by a panel of Royal Air Force officers, dismissed from the service and sentenced to prison after a three-day court-martial.

Let's stay on-topic, folks. What would you say - and perhaps a bit on why. The refuting can go elsewhere - there's plenty of threads about all of these topics anyhow.

Do not respond to me within this thread. PM myself or Sean with any questions.

I wouldn't know what to ask him...he's incapable of giving an honest answer. I think I might ask him if he could open himself up to an honest debate of the options, within his limited array of companions.

I don't think the war thing would happen, but I agree with the rest of what you said.

I think the Hispanics that are already here also need to do something to help their own. I'm talking our citizens. Don't just be blackmailing our elected officials, but look out for what's best for the country.

And then Bush would say, "Why thank you. What state are you from, sir?"

You would then proudly respond, "I'm from the great state of Mexico, Sir. Our 51st state!"

Marilyn - read what I said. This isn't a thread for responses - it's a thread for what you would say. Stay on-topic, and let's not digress.

Do not respond to me within this thread. PM myself or Sean for details.
