I used Paint Shop Pro 7. Much cheaper than Photoshop.
You did that yourself? Fine Job!

PSP has a lasso tool. I dont see that on any of my programs.

I wish I could do that. I have been trying to PS a bomb into bushes cowboy hat. But, I dont have PhotoShop.....I have Corel Draw....Corel Photo-Paint and Microsoft Image Composer. I cant find simple directions for a "montage" anywhere. I think thats what its called.
I threw this together tonight. I'm sure I could do it better with time and with some sleep. I know it sucks but oh well, it should be enough to offend some Texans and put them on some jihad or something.

Eh, I did that real quick. This John Kerry one is funnier.

I'd like to thank Charlie Hodge, bringing me scarves and water.

You did great!!
Much better than what I came up with.
I finally found a tool that came with my camera software....

Is that a devious smirk, or what?

Comp, I liked the OBL one better. I dont see Kerry as a Dark Warrior type. The Cons tried to portray him as some kind of monster, but I never saw it.

OBL really COULD be hiding out in the White House. You know the old saying "Keep your friends close . But, keep your enemies closer". Junior might have mixed feelings about whether OBL is friend or foe.

Osamas brother, Salem made the mistake of investing in Shrubs bidness. He was an experienced pilot but flew into powerlines. A lot of people who have touched bushs life have died mysteriously.

All good humor has an element of truth to it.

OBL is this bush Regimes most valuable asset.

In Hollywood, every hero needs a villain. Not much different from DC.

How come there arent any movies about has-been heroes? Because used up heroes are used up.

Junior was just a lame duck on and before Sept 10th 2001. He still is, if you take away all the bullshit. Take PNAC out of the picture and bush is just a frat punk phoney.

The fatal flaw of John Kerry is his lack of courage. He should have fought for every vote, like John Edwards said they would. Hardly a monster.

Damn, that was just what I was looking for, Bush and hat in a straight on pose. I spent an hour looking for hat pix and could only find the one at an angle. Since I am a serious amateur at PS cutting the bomb off at the proper angle was a pain. I did have one with him wearing a "Habitat for Humanity" hardhat but it was too involved to get him to wear a bomb with the "habitat" logo on it. Too bad. Would have been funny.

I thought the OBL one was priceless, but the S&M-looking guy might be too obscure for a lot of people. Was he from "Farscape?"

Yeah, but I don't think you have to know that to understand what's going on in the picture. At the very least, it's a pretty menacing looking guy with a gun, and yet the crowd doesn't seem to notice.

Putting a bomb in Bush's hat is a more obsure reference. Because it's a parody of a parody. Unless you've seen the original comic, a bomb in the hat ends up looking like bad propaganda, rather than a funny commentary.

I think it makes more of an impact if they DO know who it is. The Farscape guy IS good but it just says some funky looking guy with a gun has a Kerry sign in front of him. Perhaps the same shot with a more famous head.

The same thing applies. The bomb in the turban/Stetson works if you know the reference but I would say more people would get that than a weird guy with a Kerry sign. Who is he, why is he armed, what is he doing with that sign are all questions that would blunt the effect. The bomb is worldwide news and Farscape isn't well known and hardly anyone thinks about Kerry anymore.

In any event the bomb wasn't supposed to be funny anyway. Just a reference to a current story and an exercise for me to see if I could do it. I wasn't kidding when I said what an amateur I was with PS.
