But when that happens in Iraq there is silence. George Bush and Tony Blair constantly boast that they have brought freedom and democracy to Iraq. Yet Kamal Sayid Qadir, a leading Kurdish academic, has been jailed for 30 years after he publicly criticised Massoud Barzani, head of the US backed Kurdish Democratic Party (KDP). The KDP is one of two parties that rule Iraqi Kurdistan.

I think we lost the war.

Its official, Operation Iraqi Freedom a farce.

Then if it was always the OIL then we didnt really lose cause freedom was never one of the objectives. The US government does things so discreet and smart than there is no wonder that we are a global superpower. I wish I knew the type of covert operations that the US does in order to stay on top, like the Nicaraguan contras. And by "covert operations" I dont mean some type of Rambo mission, I mean some type of larger scale political moves.

What I am saying is we lost the OFFICIAL war, not the clandestine war. At least not until the last politician and oil execs are rescued from the roof of the multi-billion $$$ Bagdad embassy. And our soldiers line the streets on pikes. Dread the thought. I dont want anyone to die. Bullies often lose in the real world. This is a war of choice/agression and God will not bless it.

I want God to bless America again. God rains on armed robbers and decent citizens alike. But, I think fate and Karma are play out on another plateau. Above the weather. Or below, as the case may be.

The accuracy of the book seems obvious to me. No country as big and powerful as ours will deal with foreign relations without swindling going on.
