It's a fine indictment of the political socialisation of the general American populace tody. Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. Winston Churchill |

| Skeptical believer Location: da UP, Michigan Posts: 279 | I had to pick none of the above, though I tend to side with libertarian principles much of the time. Nevertheless, I am an anarchist at heart, seeing the libertarian ideology merely as an means to this end. nm420 "In this age, the mere example of nonconformity, the mere refusal to bend the knee to custom, is itself a service. --John Stuart Mill (1806-1873) |

Hmmm. Not that it's a big deal, but I'm not sure I like someone editing my polls to significantly alter the results. | |

While it may not be valid for your post, and your intentions of the post (which I can fully understand your dislike for post editing or poll editing) I still think it is a "sign" of the peoples aversion to being informed if being ignorant is a valid, accepted option. Don't you love the "we're ALL winners" mentality? ON TOPIC. I voted Libertarian, because as the question was written, the Libertarian party MOST reflects my opinions, beliefs, and facts that I know of, from the selections given. But I have a progressive stance on social issues.
Oddly enough, the largest right wing party in the Netherlands supports this mix ^_^ (except for the nationalism thing... can't have everything I guess.) |

| Igneous Magma Location: Faulkville Ga USA Posts: 334 | I voted none of the above. cause i really dont know. when they asked me what party I wanted to be when I got my drivers license I asked what are my choices lol and it gets better than that. after they told me my choices I asked what clinton was casue i didnt know I didnt like him yet.lol so I picked democrat. i never voted untill this year. I am 28. I figured I knew nothing about what was going on so I had no business voting I feel strongly if you dont know why you are voting a certian way you shouldnt cast your vote... on those political compass tests I got as follows Your PERSONAL issues Score is 80%. Your ECONOMIC issues Score is 100%. Economic Left/Right: -3.13 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.13 I dont know what that means but here ya go! on other tests I have been told I was democrat. then people call me conservitive. I dont know what I am other than me lol! I voted "mostly" republican this time becasuse of my stand on abortion. Last edited by carriew; Jan 5, 2006 at 10:45 am. |
