| Igneous Magma Location: London baby, yeah! Posts: 198 | "Viewers saw footage of what Israeli television called a 'mentally challenged' boy stopped at a checkpoint south of Nablus. The boy, Husam Abdu, was shown standing at a distance from the Israeli soldiers whilst he was instructed in Hebrew how to remove the vest. 'After a roughly 40-minute drama in full view of the cameras filming a frightened child wearing an eight-kilogram explosive vest, Husam managed to take off the explosive charge,' the TV reported. In the Israeli press on Thursday pictures of 'the little bomber,' as they call him, dominate the front pages... 'Blowing myself up is the only chance I've got to have sex with 72 virgins in the Garden of Eden,' The Post quoted Husam as saying his handlers had told him." I always knew about thr 72 virgins thing, but I have only just realised that these guys must be really stupid. Who would want to kill themselves just to be stuck for all eternity with 72 women, nearly all of which you can't pleasure all the time. Imagine the aggrevation you'd get. Most guys can't even handle one. I just dunno anymore :( A man has two reasons for doing anything --- a good reason and the real reason. Let us be thankful for the fools. But for them the rest of us could not succeed In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

The men shown in the film were motivated by doing something for their cause and were mollified by the promise of heaven. They didn't do it for the virgins. It wasn't even told to all of them. Can you cite your source for this? "...with like-minded people one cannot discuss. I saw the photo of the Israeli soldier pushing the kid along - it was the Israeli who was more scared than the kid, judging by the expression on his face. The "shit I'm too young to die" kind of expression. Ideological loyalty is the act of giving your soul to a vague concept, to be manipulated by people smarter than you. |

| Retired Posts: 7,312 | Why do you keep repeating this "anyone who doesn't believe in Islam" crap? That's not why bombs go to Israel. "...with like-minded people one cannot discuss. | Citizen #21521 Posts: 2,599 | He is popular with any Muslim who doesn't like America. And sometimes even nutcases who aren't Muslim. The reason? People dont like America. Why? I dont know, to tell the truth the Americans arent as bad as the Russians ever were, so maybe its petty jealousy? After all, the same happens in Asia. Anti-Japanese, anti-Chinese feeling, because both nations have become powerful. We all fear power. And fear is hatred, according to Hitler Youth. | Retired Posts: 7,312 | Mainly it is Israel. Talked to many Arabs? Didn't think so. The ones in the WTC didn't like Bin Laden any more than you or I. BTW, it's very difficult to lump "Arabs" together. It's like lumping "white people" together. English people are pretty different from Americans are different than South Africans than ......... I think your image of Arabs and/or muslims is quite limited and confined to the few that are terrorists. Therefore you shouldn't make assumptions about them. | Citizen #21521 Posts: 2,599 | Mia, how many Arabs have YOU talked to? And have you ever actually talked to an Israeli? I've done both, in both universities and business. Have you? Funny how so many terrorists are associated with Islam. How many Buddhist or Christian terrorists are there? A few? A thousand? As many as Islamic terrorists? | Volcanic Erupter Posts: 3,154 | If you read any of Gerry Adams' books or even stuff written from a British/Loyalists point of view, it's pretty much agreed upon that the IRA consists of a very small, loose network of prominant Irish-Catholic families. Yes, there might be more than 300. Maybe less. But if you ask either side or anybody that knows anything about The Troubles the number of active IRA members, they will give you roughly the same figure. You said "loads". Three hundred people is hardly "loads". Are their more members that you know of? If so, how many? How many do you consider "loads"? |
