| Molten Ash Posts: 90 | By now you've probably all seen the attacks by Cheney and others, claiming that Sen. Kerry is 'weak' on defense by listing individual votes against military spending. (while not mentioning votes in favor) In fact, it was Defense Secretary Dick Cheney who: Canceled the A-12 stealth fighter, not because it was no longer needed but because the Republican administration had mismanaged the program so. Cut the B-2 Stealth Bomber program, first to 75 aircraft, then to 20. (Which raised the final cost to more than $2 billion a plane) And let's not forget Cheney's memorable service in Vietnam. >>>--~(τΏτ)~---> |

I heard Cheney had "better things to do" in the Vietnam days As for Kerry and defense, who is the big military threat these days? | Guest Posts: n/a | China could be considered the next BIG military threat. China managed to purchase some US nuclear secrets a few years ago. I'm afraid those technologies will be pointing against us sometime in the next decade. We will still be fighting global terrorism when the RoC decides they want Taiwan back and no longer feel they have to back down. What then? Will Kerry be able to stand up to China with all the weapons he voted against? I doubt it. I also, don't consider his Vietnam tour of four months much to brag about. He deployed, got three scratches and went home. Big deal. |

How come they're making so much money off us Americans. Is it Wal-Mart? Back to the thread: Cheney hypocrisy-- he's really from Texas and said he was from Wyoming in order to run with Bush, huh? Wouldn't want to violate the Constitution...
