That is an excellent question about my German grandfather Son. He came over here around WW1 time and you betcha, it was hell over there. He proudly became an American citizen and then proceeded working and raising his family. He taught my dad and my dad taught me to work hard and be a good American. Also they both taught me how to be a good Christian. We helped make America a wonderful place. We didn't ask the government what they could do for us, we asked, what can we do for thee. No riots, no crime, we earned our way. Isn't that the right way Son?

That's not the point. You were inferring they were inferior because their old country was so bad. Well, your country killed millions of men, women and children, did experiments on them, worked them to death in camps, gassed them and burned them.

Don't get me wrong, I love Germany and have been trying to learn German. But you're being a hypocrite.

Sounds exactly like my family. We're two different people. In two generations, it will sound like the story of a Muslim family that moved here to escape the Hell over there. You have good point when you say that America is wonderful. I think it takes all kinds to make life good.

A sarcastic message, but there's a lot of truth in it. When you emigrate to a new country and society, the onus is on you to integrate. If you keep to yourself and persist in your old foreign ways, it's no wonder your new society has not 'accepted' you. And even if, for this reason, you are not 'accepted', it doesn't give you any reason to riot and break the laws of the country you chose to live in.

Algier was once a colony of France. France at one time had a labor shortage and because of this many of the people of French colonies immigrated to France to do the work.

After about four generations the young in the ghetto began to put 2 plus 2 together and realized there is no upward mobility no matter what they did. Chirac said, "we need a dialogue." That dialogue never happened. The youth in the ghetto got the message which is they(ghetto youth) are not worth talking to.

The French elite have been doing some pretty good smack talk about the people in the ghetto. The youth in the ghetto smacked talked back. Then bammmm a riot.
