(1) The Chinese do not have the same mindset that Americans do. They are not going to go from spending 60% of their income (saving 40%) to spending 120% (borrowing). Certainly not any time soon.

(2) John Snow, George Bush, and Alan Greenspan are desperate. This action shows it. They know there is a day of financial reckoning coming soon, and they know they've caused much of it.

(3) The author of the article is biased and blames the financial mess of the US government and people on the Republicans when the Democrats are equally at fault. He also seem to think that the incestuous relationship of big business and big government is somehow "capitalism." It is not.
