| Molten Ash Posts: 43 | After Sept.11, after suicide attacks in Turkey, after the discover of many terrorists in European States, after the arrest of a Canadian working for Hamas...etc Will the terrorists success to make US afraid ? We french just discover that a terrorist group threatens the french gov't of bomb attacks on trains ! Police already found one ! That's crazy, and I wanna know your feeling about that. Nathan Here's a news : Video : http://www.euronews.net/create_html.php?PH...b12c80f2eb34141 Article : http://www.euronews.net/create_html.php?pa...b12c80f2eb34141 -------------------------------- News 4 March 2004 4/03 06:06 CET Bomb threats spark French rail search An army of railway workers in France is undertaking a painstaking search of 32,000 kilometres of rail tracks following a spate of bomb threats. A shadowy group calling itself AZF claims to have planted ten bombs around the network. It is reportedly demanding a four million euro ransom not to detonate the devices. One bomb has already been discovered on a line near a village close to the city of Limoges. Police were directed to it by the group. Detectives have been communicating with the extortionists in messages published in the small advertisements section of newspapers. Since last December the previously unknown group has also sent six threatening letters to President Jacques Chirac and the Interior Ministry. Nicolas Sarkozy, the Interior Minister, has appealed to the media not to report the threats. "I know the press has a job to do, but please leave the police and gendarmerie to work in peace," he said. The bomb threats have caused unease among commuters, but there is no evidence yet that people are avoiding taking trains. For now the group, which takes its name from a chemicals factory where an explosion killed 31 people three years ago, remains a troubling mystery ----------------------------------- |

No please, that's totaly wrong ! I agree with the fact that economic trades between Chirac and Saddam was shameful... even worse yet when you know that some parliamentary groups and MPs used to show off about that because France was the first Iraq's supplier. Anyway those trades were completely legal, that's why France urged the UN to give up the Oil-For-Food program...it prevented France from making more money with Saddam's barbarous regime. It's definitly the way we are ruled .. Nathan |

If he was arresting the bad ones, that would've been ok but he's not. Now think abt it, when you kill the parents of a small child, you're actually creating a generation of terrorists. This child will always hate you and that's it. Bush is not banishing terrorism but in the contrary... I'm Columnist here at Volconvo.com and also at BackWash.com. | Molten Ash Posts: 120 | You are right NotScientific.. The war on terror is just going to lead to more terror in the long run. It is an unwinable war that has no end.. just like the war on drugs. | Igneous Magma Posts: 180 | Just let the intelligence services do their jobs and stfu - that's what people should do. The "war" on terror does not concern you just as FBI investigations do not concern you. The average person is far more likely to be involved in an automobile accident, killed in a shooting or die in an earthquake than be killed by terrorism yet wtf has Bush done about any of THOSE threats huh? Once people stop acting like children and getting all emotional about it they might realise how the government is using terrorism as a boogeyman to scare the population to get more support. Control through fear. One of Bush's claimed strong points for his re-election is dealing with terrorism. If the terrorist issue disapeared tommorow, Bush would have less chance of being re-elected. There are huge gains to be had by this present US administration by over-exagerating, prolonging, and keeping the terrorist issue in the public spotlight Control Via Fear: Government: "We need to install cameras in your home" Citizen: "Why??" Government: "To protect you against terrorism" Citizen: "Well...I dunno" Government: "Did you know there is an ORANGE ALERT?" Citizen: "ORANGE??! OMG install the cameras now!!" |
