The cartoonist who made the popular comic Doonesbury is offering $10,000 he has made from his tax cut, to anyone who can find evidence that George w. Bush served in Albama. So far nobody with creditable evidence has stepped forward.

I don't agree with his politics, but AL Franken is 20 times the "entertainer" that Rush Limbaugh could even hope to be. Rush Limbaugh is talentless. Franken is arguably one of the greatest comedy writers of all time (yeah, I know Stuart Smalley sucked, but spare me the FOX NEWS talking points).

Yes, I agree your reasoning is simplistic. Franken has been writing and producing for SNL for 30 years. Speaks for itself. He's sold more books than Limbaugh. Limbaugh simply regurgitates GOP talking points (hum, sounds like someone else I know). I agree he isn't "liberal" but he's defintely NOT a conservative. He's a phony. At least Franken is honest.

Rush has been on the radio for more than 20 years and his national show has been on for over 16 years... far LONGER than franken...

rush's first book was on the publisher's weekly best seller list for 53 weeks... best seller for over a year...

franken's book of insults lasted 8 weeks...

rush has sold far more books than franken... and franken is not honest

Rush hasn't sold more books than Franken. I own both their books (both of Limbaugh’s and Franken’s), Limbaugh isn't entertaining at all unless you're a moron.. err... Republican. He just says "Liberals suck" and you get an erection. Franken researches facts and actually presents an argument with a good laugh. Limbaugh's first book was released during a much different time than Franken's second book. During "Lies" he was competing against some major selling books, like Hillary Clintons.

I mean, don’t get so defensive ditto-head Limbaugh already blew he wad and credibility to pain killers.

Come on now. Republicans aren't all bad. Just the ones that run the party and the corporations that back it. The same goes for the Democrats. Limbaugh is a talentless hack. Franken, though wrong on MANY issues, has about a trillion times the credibilty as Rush. The same goes for Sean Hannity and Anne Coulter. Franken is misled. Hannity, Rush and Coulter are Hitler youth in their 30s and 40s.

Limbaugh is on the radio because large corporations OWN lots of radio stations AND usually are Republican. Limbaugh is our generation's "Tokyo Rose". His job AND HIS ONLY JOB, is to spew mud at the Democrats. He talks about how the airlines gave large campaign contributions to Al Gore the day after he Let them slide on security issues. What Limbaugh DOESN'T say is that the airlines ALSO gave contributions to the Republicans AT THE SAME TIME. Lot's of contributers do ths so that whoever gets elected owes them a favor.
It's only one example of how Limbaugh tells half the story to make his side look good.

I also notice that even after ten years of him saying that "drg addicts are a cancer on society and should be punished to the full extent of the law" he does 3 weeks in a "re-hab" center and is right back on the air. I'm waiting to see how much "fuul extent of the law" HE gets when they get into his "deals" to aquire drugs.
