And from what I have read about chruchill (right or wrong, but it's what I have to go on) if he could be reincarnated, with a gun and one bullet and go to any one location he wanted, he would shoot Osama Bin Laden in the head like a rabbid dog getting put to sleep out back behind an Arkansas pound. Actually the blockade wasn't entirely effective, as Germany had enough food production capacity to feed their people.

However the British naval blockade during World War 2 had the effect of cutting off German oil from South America.
