| Principled Observer Location: Toledo, Ohio Posts: 13,907 | Give me a break..... That is a fully OVER-resourced story about NEWS the NATIONAL MEDIA WON'T TOUCH. Regardless, I put it there because I thought it fit there best, even though I read the rules of posting in the forum. It REVOLVES around national news, and the job they are NOT doing. If the media isn't criticizing itself, it just doesn't belong. If you'd like to further this discussion, PM me. I don't want to see this thread go to waste. I am however suprised with this many views, not many comments. That is rare. | Principled Observer Location: Toledo, Ohio Posts: 13,907 | That is what makes them stories the national media won't touch..... They are telling much more of the truth, and not just the popular tip of the iceberg leaving all the "little details" of who brought them to bear and why out of the story. It's like saying terrorists despise us because we are members of a free government..... Terrorists hate us all right, but not for THAT reason. The major media hits the headline, and then ignores the details, if it goes there at all. How many of you actually looked at more than 1 of those stories? | The Truth Posts: 1,724 | The reason these "news" stories aren't getting any traction with the main stream media is because this great country is better informed than ever before. Americans are, by nature, optimists and skeptics. Rush Limbaugh knows and understands this. That's why his radio show is an overwhelming success. He is not a conspiracy theorist, he doesn't peddle victimhood, his show is upbeat and he gives the audience members credit for knowing a lot about what is going on in the world today. This is why he has been able to sustain such a large audience over the years. Contrast this with your "Chicken-Little-the-sky-is-falling" mentality of most modern liberals (moveon.org, ANSWER, etc.) and the picture begins to get pretty clear as to why the mainstream media refuses to cover a bunch of stories that are little more than liberal talking points. Itt's because most people don't believe the bile spewing from the left anymore. You can shout it louder and in a more shrill voice, but it won't ever make any of it true. |

Amazing how strong the support is for the national media, when it suits you, but any other time they are the "evil liberal media". Well done men. | Principled Observer Location: Toledo, Ohio Posts: 13,907 | Also, you notice I made no attempt to not disclose sources, and actually PROVIDED SOURCE LINKS AND ALONG WITH THE POST. Does that mean I support them, or does it mean I see merit in seeing both sides to a story?
