![]() Molten Ash Location: Boston Posts: 109 | Are these people aware that the marriage licenses they are recieveing are not real, since the state of California has not legalized any sort of gay marriage or civil union. We're looking at the world through the barrel of a gun, are we ready? |

| Hot Lava Posts: 1,859 | they don't care... they think they are making a point when all they are doing is ruining the chances of kerry's election... no one wants gay marriage and it is a democRAT albatros... "I really like this jacket, but the sleeves are much too long..." insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results... |

| Molten Ash Posts: 43 | Why don't American lawmakers create a kind of Civil union different of marriage ? This exists in France, and I guess in many european countries... it's more like a contract..and gays are happy then. We call that a 'Pacs' : Civil Pact of Solidarity. The worrying question is : what will be the next step ? - Adoption ? True marriage ? Nathan |

| Retired Posts: 7,312 | Why not? You'd rather a child grow up in an orphanage or various foster homes rather than with a gay couple? "...with like-minded people one cannot discuss. | Location: Finland Posts: 712 | mice* and "Homosexuality is a choice" .... how the hell do you know that? Isn't it pretty damn obvious it's not a choice? Why in the world would anyone -- willingly -- be someone who people look down upon and call a freak etc etc? I don't think homosexuals should be allowed to adopt children though, but that's another topic all together. EDIT: I'm sorry, have had a few beers and it's late, but... this whole "they're gay by choice" - thing made me really wonder. Have you not got some kind of sexual preferences? Fetishes...whatever. I know I've got quite a few. And I also know I have never browsed a catalog or list and gone "hmm......I'll choose to be excited by ******...yeah, I'll have the ******-fetish, please". My sexual preferences have been in me for as long as I can remember. I did never choose to have them. What about you? Did you choose yours? Do you seriously think that homosexual people went into their rooms as a kid one day and said to themselves "I think I'm going to turn gay now, totally ignoring the fact that I used to think touching another man's penis was something that would've made me sick"? I mean... people claiming it to be a choice really haven't thought it through, have they? |

| Lazy Sniper Location: Toronto, Canada Posts: 513 | I don't understand why people are threatened by gay marriage. What exactly will it take away from? Comming from Toronto where gay marriage is in fact legal isn't it just being inclusive? I mean if this were phrased as bi-racial or blacks allowed to marry blacks it would be a non-issue. It should be a non-issue. Civil unions have been largely criticized here because they create a two teired system. It makes gay people 2nd class citizens. Capitalism is: Man exploiting man. Socialism is the other way around. |
