so who blew up pan am?

A FORMER Scottish police chief has given lawyers a signed statement claiming that key evidence in the Lockerbie bombing trial was fabricated.
"He said he believed he had crucial information. A meeting was set up and he gave a statement that supported the long-standing rumours that the key piece of evidence, a fragment of circuit board from a timing device that implicated Libya, had been planted by US agents. http://news.scotsman.com/index.cfm?id=1855852005
"Do I think the CIA was involved? Of course they were involved. And they screwed up. Was the operation planned by the top? Probably not. I doubt they sanctioned heroin importation that came about at the more zealous lower levels. But they knew what was going on and didnt care." The expert went on to say that his agency has "things that support Avivs allegation, but we cant prove it. We have no smoking gun. And until the other agencies of the government open their doors, we will have no smoking gun."

These government agencies didnt open their doors. In September l989, Pan Am subpoenaed the FBI, CIA, FAA, DEA, National Security Council, National Security Agency, Defense Intelligence Agency and the State Department, requesting documents relating to the case. According to Pan Ams attorney, Gregory Buhler, "the government quashed the subpoenas on grounds of national security" (ibid.).

It's going back a bit, but I've heard convincing arguments that it was Syria. Trouble was it was Khaddafi they wanted to finger.

There's also a technically well-qualified guy in the US (http://www.corazon.com/Boeing747Crashcause.html -- I can't get it to open, though I read it years ago) who argues that the crash was consistent with an ageing and indifferently maintained Boeing 747, and that the word "bomb" appears nowhere in the official report, but rather "explosive device", I believe, which he says would cover various things that the CIA could well have been transporting in diplomatic pouches in the baggage hold and could have gone off under the circumstances, producing evidence of an on-board explosion.

It has to be said that what happened to PA103 nearly happened to a United Airlines 747 out of Honolulu when the baggage hatch blew in climb, ripping part of the side off and sending debris out into the wing and engines. They barely got back in one piece. (And if it hadn't landed in one piece, it too would have showered down in many.)

Who knows, was it the IRA, Russians, Palestinians, Communists, Saddam, Hillary and Bill or the Easter Bunny?
I honestly think this is a typical conspiracy issue by the tinfoil hat crowd.
Now if certain facts that are more than rumor prove some major parts of this whole issue has legs, I'd love to see the information later.
Until then, please remind us to look back at this, because the ending conclusions might end up real interesting. Maybe it was the French?

The trouble is that we now know for a fact that so much "evidence" to justify this and that has been fabricated in recent years that the US, and increasingly the UK, have not a shred of credibility left. This leaves the doors wide open to doubt about a whole range of incidents. You can hardly blame people for being extremely skeptical about what they're told.

I doubt that because America is one of the most open societies on earth. If Americans or the President thought like that in these current days, they why didn't the US and President just plant WMD in Iraq?
They didn't because at this time, we don't need to do that.

So, it makes on sense or logic IMO at all that evidence would be planted on this smaller issue.

take into account this news CIA and DOD Attempted To Plant WMD In Iraq
    http://portland.indymedia.org/en/2003/06/266752.shtml
In a world exclusive, Al Martin Raw.com has published a news story about a Department of Defense whistleblower who has revealed that a US covert operations team had planted "Weapons of Mass Destruction" (WMDs) in Iraq - then "lost" them when the team was killed by so-called "friendly fire."

The Pentagon whistleblower, Nelda Rogers, is a 28-year veteran debriefer for the Defense Department. She has become so concerned for her safety that she decided to tell the story about this latest CIA-military fiasco in Iraq.

According to Al Martin Raw.com, "Ms.Rogers is number two in the chain of command within this DoD special intelligence office. This is a ten-person debriefing unit within the central debriefing office for the Department of Defense.

The story never started in any reputable news agency, it first surfaced on a conspiracy nut website. almartinraw.com .

"I was unable to google up anything else at all about Nelda Rogers, so the odds are this is the worst sort of balderdash "
