they're doing a special on the pre-war hype building up the case for war in iraq - hyping up the "threat" of wmd's.

well, if anyone watched it.. it was pretty interesting... nothing i didn't already know, for the most part, but it was packaged into a good chronological progression.. they had a lot of cia people there being interviewed, including david kay.. when you watch and learn about what happened during the run-up to iraq, you can't help but feel like the white house purposely embellished a wmd-based case for war. the reasons why they wanted the war are debateable, but what isn't is the fact that they did try to create facts to bolster their pro-war agenda.

Yes I saw half of it. RE: the aluminum tubes issue. That really made me mad.

I also saw the tail end of the show on the National Geographic Channel called "Inside 9/11" very interesting show. Its also on tonight at 9 I highly reccomend it. link It is more than just a memorial documentary, it goes back into the causes of 9/11 and the "red flags" that led up to it and of how the US govt. basically ignored those red flags.
