Milton, don't you think you are being a little too hard on Bishop? I think he admits the government is doing bad things right now but still feels fiat is better than gold. Thats all.

Perhaps you do not understand the magnitude of the crimes we are talking about.

Perhaps you neglect to see the implications of of universities pumping out students with these same philosophies. Particularly when we know better. Allow me to quote a few good men who understand the the true implications of our situation.

“I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the civilized world - no longer a Government by free opinion, no longer a Government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a Government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men.”
-President Woodrow Wilson

“Gentlemen, I have had men watching you for a long time and I am convinced that you have used the funds of the bank to speculate in the breadstuffs of the country. When you won, you divided the profits amongst you, and when you lost, you charged it to the bank. You tell me that if I take the deposits from the bank and annul its charter, I shall ruin ten thousand families. That may be true, gentlemen, but that is your sin! Should I let you go on, you will ruin fifty thousand families, and that would be my sin! You are a den of vipers and thieves.”
-attributed to President Andrew Jackson, who in 1836 forced the closing of the Second Bank of the U.S. by revoking its charter

“Sound money and free banking are not impossible; they are merely illegal"
-Hans F. Sennholz

“I care not what puppet is placed on the throne of England to rule the Empire, ... The man that controls Britain's money supply controls the British Empire. And I control the money supply.”
-Baron Nathan Mayer de Rothschild (1777-1836)

“All the perplexities, confusion and distress in America arise, not from defects in their Constitution or Confederation, not from want of honor or virtue, so much as from the downright ignorance of the nature of coin, credit and circulation.”
-John Adams

“Whoever controls the volume of money in any country is absolute master of all industry and commerce.”
-James A. Garfield

“...From now on depressions will be scientifically created.”
-Congressman Charles A. Lindbergh, Sr., 1913, on the Federal Reserve Act

“It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes. A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world.”
-Thomas Jefferson to A. L. C. Destutt de Tracy, 1820

“By a continuing process of inflation, government can confiscate, secretly and unobserved, an important part of the wealth of their citizens...”
-John Maynard Keynes

“We are completely dependent on the commercial banks. Someone has to borrow every dollar we have in circulation, cash or credit. If the banks create ample synthetic money we are prosperous; if not we starve. We are absolutely without a permanent money system.... It is the most important subject intelligent persons can investigate and reflect upon. It is so important that our present civilization may collapse unless it becomes widely understood and the defects remedied very soon.”
-Robert H. Hamphill, Atlanta Federal Reserve Bank

...and finally, the most important point to take from this...

“If Congress has the right to issue paper money, it was given to them to be used by... [the government] and not to be delegated to individuals or corporations.”
-President Andrew Jackson, Vetoed Bank Bill of 1836

“Congress had no authority to grant a private consortium of banks the monopoly privilege to create the nation's currency.”
-Boston T. Party

I offered my view, you just choose not to address that topic.

I offer proof that the system is nothing more than a front for criminal behavior from the very people that created it, and fostered the environment which the system requires to operate.

The truth is, you cannot refute the core truth behind the lies.

you are arguing opinion, quit the "i'm telling you all the truth" garbage.. you are someone who "knows" all they know from reading fringe articles and watching cspan for christ's sake.. (and good job of completely misinterpreting that earlier post of mine. thanks rvonse for pointing that out to him.)

the FACT of the matter is that the courts have ruled in support of fiat numerous times. you arguing that it's still somehow illegal is no different than evangelical fundies saying that roe v. wade was illegal.

hope for america...
