| Igneous Magma Posts: 169 | Iran has lost U.S. nukes? Found this rather interesting from counterpunch. http://www.counterpunch.org/cockburn07302005.html It's the first I've heard of this and I don't see a current thread on the subject here. I'm not sure if counterpunch has much credibility and it's apparently not in any mainstream papers or sites that I know of so I didn't go to 'breaking news' with it. From that link: "Iran may have the weapons-grade uranium out of three nuclear warheads dumped out of a B-52 back in 1991. Or so at least the US government might have some reason to believe, according to a seemingly well-informed person talking to CounterPunch last week." "On February 3, 1991, this particular B-52G had been deployed to circle around Baghdad. It was armed with 3 SRAM missiles armed with nuclear warheads and fitted with rocket drives to push them 100 miles to the rear of the B-52 before detonating." Comments anyone? More b.s. or a story that was supposed to be kept under wraps and has creeped out? And as an aside to that, I had never given much thought to the fact that those things (B-52's) are going to fall out of the sky once in a while and if they are carrying nukes then what a splendid opportunity for those who don't already belong to the nuclear club. |

| Igneous Magma Posts: 169 | Sort of the way I feel bishop, the sooner Iran gets it's nukes the sooner off there will be some kind of deterrant to Israel and a balance of power. Will Iran become a threat with nukes? Baaaaahhhhh! No country is going to start anything with a country that has nukes. The biggest danger is a nuclear country starting something with a country that doesn't have them. My hunch is that Iran will someday soon announce that they have theirs and even if they lie about it nobody will have the balls to put them to the test. Such will be the way of the 21st. century IMO. |
