Don't Vote

I've made it my prerogative to never vote again. I've worked the polls, and voted on issues (never people). Now, I know, it is a sign of support for your Government if you vote in their elections. I didn't even think of it this way at first. At first, it seemed, you could cast a ballot and really be heard. But then it came to me.... my vote doesn't count at all. Worse, by voting I recognize an institution which has harassed, restricted, and abused me at every turn in my life.
I recommend to anyone who has lost faith or never had it to begin with to not look elsewhere for support. There are no third parties. Don't vote third party, they are artificially giving you faith, a sense that people agree with you that the Government isn't right. Look to yourself! America needs strong people, who don't cripple themselves by compromising their way out of politically insecure situations.
Stop watching the news. It doesn't effect you until you notice it affecting you.
Try not to pay taxes either, its hard if you work for someone, but if you're contracted its easy.
Love your family and friends. The nature connections humans can make with each other is something the Government has no say over, so treasure relationships, they're the freest thing you have.
Also, give people their privacy while they still have a right to it-- if they still do.

He means changing America from a Representative Republic into a Direct Democracy. Something that just ain't gonna happen.

Einstein's "Theory of Relativity" is still being challenged to this day, but by consensus Global Warming is a fact... that's REAL science at work, why didn't Albert just go that route?

That isn't what I am talking about at all. I don't want my vote to count MORE in this country, I don't care how much influence the "people" or whatever have. Its just about support. Don't vote else be mistaken for someone who supports the American Government and Legal System-- which I absolutely do not. If only 1% of the country voted I think it would make clear to all of us just how out of our hands it is.
What I am discouraging is people from trying to change the government from within. The institution is failed and corrupt.

There is no solution in black and white. I have a million things I think will help society, like anyone else. I'm not trying to sell you on those. I am trying to sell those who don't "believe" in the Government to stop acting like they do. 55% of the population voted for something they believe in? I doubt it. Most of that 55% just voted out of blind obligation, not thinking consciously about what their actions signify: fearful of the greater evil at every turn these degenerate 55% have empowered the Government more than the military.

Well said.

When people stop looking to external authories for solutions to personal and societal problems; and, instead seek those solutions from within themselves, government will shrink like an impotent penis.

This is as accurate as it is horrifying. Watching the daily political news and then seeing people compare everything they hate in the world to a politician is a slow torture. Yesterday, maybe because of the heat, I saw three cars broken down along the road and in parking lots. For every single stranded motorist, people got out of their own cars and went into the heat and danger of traffic to offer help to complete strangers. This simple example displays that we are so unlike the fiends in government as to make us from a different planet altogether. Their machinations, purposefully and exclusively self-serving in design, keep us bickering over utter bullshit while they enjoy the lives of well-kept royalty. When is the last time one of these mad princes and princesses drove themselves to a grocery store? Or opened a utility bill? Or worried about daycare?

You expressed this so well that it causes me to hesitate and wonder about your idea. I worked the polls last time too and those people who stood in line to throw their votes into space (muckmacking madness) deserve better.

The question of importance is whats Good about it? There isn't anything intricatly bad about a broken table, but it is useless.

well, nobody in any third party has any ability to influence government because third parties have no power. there are most likely third parties out there who share most of your beliefs..

how exactly does a lack of political participation make things better for americans?

If American's do not go out and vote, it will show how bad the American Government really is. However, nobody really votes anyway.......

that didn't answer my question... if nobody goes out and votes, does that mean that the government will cease to exist? nope. if anything, they'll be more beholden to the few who support them. is that a way to improve the country???

hope for america...

It will prove to THE PEOPLE, that they are not alone in their feelings, and would stir the support necessary to overthrow the current government.

I think that is his point.
