| Molten Ash Posts: 76 | TO SCHEDULE AN INTERVIEW WITH LIBERTARIAN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE GARY NOLAN, PLEASE CONTACT AUDREY MULLEN AT 202-270-2772 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If polls in Wisconsin are even close to being accurate, Sen. Kerry is set to win another overwhelming victory over the rest of the Democratic field, and making it that much more likely that he will represent the Democrats in the fall. That’s bad news for Democratic voters who opposed the War in Iraq and oppose the USA Patriot Act, since Kerry, like Bush, supported both. So did Kerry’s principle challenger for the nomination, Sen. Edwards. But those voters shouldn’t stay home in November, because they will have the opportunity to vote for a candidate who opposed the War in Iraq and favors the complete repeal of the USA Patriot Act – Libertarian Gary Nolan. As President, I would turn the responsibility for governing Iraq over to the Iraqi people as rapidly as possible and bring our troops home. And, I would direct the Justice Department (minus John Ashcroft) to immediately stop exercising the extra-Constitutional powers contained in the USA Patriot Act and ask Congress to repeal it. In fact, Wisconsin voters who opposed and War in Iraq and oppose the USA Patriot Act have a better way to express their views in today’s primary than by voting for one of the Democrats who won’t be on the ballot in November. They can cast their vote in the Libertarian primary for Gary Nolan – and help ensure that they have a someone to vote for in November who shares their views. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To learn more about the Nolan for President campaign, please visit our website at www.garynolan.com To interview Gary Nolan on issues where Democrats and Republicans are moving in the wrong direction (ex. taxation, growth in government spending, national defense, civil liberties and the War on Terror) please contact Audrey Mullen at 202-270-2772. They will see Libertarians as a threat and adopt some of our policies. As it is now with Bush or Kerry it will make no difference who wins we will still deal with the same problems. Benjamin Todd<hr size="1" /></blockquote><span class='postcolor'> Maybe, but in the short run I think it takes votes away from Democrats which hurts us. Democrats talk about supporting the war in Iraq, but that doesn't mean we would have actually gone if a Democrat had been in office. Clinton said he was for it too, but he didn't have a compelling and legal reason to go and didn't fabricate one. I think this makes all the difference in the world. Overall, Democrats are a tad safer when it comes to human rights domesticaly and abroad. I tried to take the view that it's the canidate, not the party, that matters. But in the end we end up in worse shape under Republicans :-( "...with like-minded people one cannot discuss.
