Someone on another fourm asked me a very good question. I wanted to move that one here.

If all terrorism is violence, is all violence terrorism?

Well, terrorism is about terror and terror is best created by violence. Not all violence is terror though.

All terrorism isn't violent. Look at Michael Jackson, don't you think he was terrorized by the idea of sharing a cell with some biker named Bubba? Yet there was no violence involved.

Yeah, come to think of it, you're right. Terrorism without violence is the best form of terror and it costs less too.

No, a military appication of force acting in a military fashion is different from an Islamic terrorist going after innocent non-military targets on purpose.

There's a big difference.
